Blakeney is a seaside village a short distance to the east of Wells.

George Jickling and Frances Winifred Jickling lived at Blakeney in the 19th century. He was born in Brancaster about 1773 and died 9 Sep 1852. She was born in Wells about 1777 and died 23 May 1855. They both were buried at Blakeney.

Four infant Jicklings, Ellen, George, Edward and William, perhaps the children of Francis Augustine and Ellen (Hamond) Jickling [see Burnham Overy below] were buried at Blakeney in one year, 1849.
