4     Mary Jickling (1854-1932)

Mary Jickling was born on 26 Oct 1854 to Robert and Julia Jickling. She married Gordon B. Brigham (1847-1922) on 1 Jan 1874. Gordon was born in Prairieville, Barry County, Michigan on 14 Oct 1847 to Barna L. and Adelis Grander Brigham. Gordon and Mary farmed 155 1/2 acres in Richland township, section 20, 2 miles west of Richland at the corner of 28th St. and D Ave. In 1906 the farm was valued at $6,400. Mary died on 11 Apr 1932 and was buried in Richland Cemetery, where her gravestone can still be seen. They had three children, all of whom lived in Kalamazoo County:

4-1     Robert Brigham (c1879-?) We have no record of Robert.
4-2     Martha Brigham (c1881-?) We have no record of Martha.
4-3     Clarence F. Brigham (1883-1937)

Clarence was born in 1883 to Gordon B. and Mary Jickling Brigham. He married Elsie Schultz on 18 Sep 1906. They were divorced in June 1936. Clarence died on 20 May 1937 and buried in the Richland Cemetery. They had two sons, Roy and Stanley.

4-3-1     Roy C. Brigham (1907-1976) Roy was born on 7 May 1907 and died on 28 Apr 1976. He was buried in the Richland Cemetery. We have no record if he was married or had children. We do know that he lived at one time at 433 Cass Street in Berrien Springs, Michigan.
4-3-2     Stanley Brigham (living?) Stanley was born on 14 Nov 1919 [or possibly 1918]. The only record we have is that he lived at one time on Fairfield Avenue, Route 2, Kalamazoo.
