Hello, Class of 1989 Milpitas High School graduates! This site exists to keep all of us alumni in contact and to distribute information about future Class of '89 events, such as this Saturday's 10-year reunion! Reunion Masters, a reunion company, and Angie Nitafan determined that this Saturday, October 16th, 1999 is when we will be having our reunion, at the Summit Pointe Golf Club here in Milpitas. Registration was originally $65 (US) per person, but now that we're in the last few days, the price has climbed to $73 (US) per person. I hope to see you there. Several of us were chafing at not hearing any news about the reunion earlier this year and started to plan a reunion ourselves. Then we got in contact with Angie and Reunion Masters. But a few of us have decided (based in part to replies from the online questionnaire we had on this site) to have an informal gathering before the actual reunion. We'll be meeting Saturday afternoon starting at 1:30 P.M. and continuing on up at Ed Levin Park by Sandy Wool Lake in the Milpitas hills on Saturday. We'd love it if you would join us, and bring something to eat! Myself, I'd like to see those alumni who're married with children, since at over seventy dollars a head, we're not likely to see the kids at night. It's a chance to blow off some steam and play some catch-up before the REAL party begins! If you're not sure how to get to Ed Levin Park, (congratulations! You've got out of Milpitas and got Milpitas out of you pretty well!) take Calaveras road east into the hills and turn left on Downing road. Downing road feeds right into the upper park area where Sandy Wool Lake is. After the booth at the entrance (unfortunately, there is a fee of $4 per vehicle), follow the road to the far side of the lake where the large picnic area is - we'll be there!
Now, some of the people I've talked to about this have worried that the people who made the hard decision not to come to the Reunion will feel unwelcome to come to our less-formal picnic. DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT! If you're not going to the Reunion, you can catch up with a few of your fellow alumni there at the park. And hey, if you know any other alumni, tell them about it, too! We all hope to see you there, too!
