Who Might Benefit From This Site

*  California teachers that are planning on taking tests 1-3 for a CLAD or BCLAD certification.

*  Teachers who have LEP students in their classes.

*  Educators who want a quick review of terms related to second language acquisition.

This site contains all of the information that I studied to pass the first three tests in the battery.  It was created from a HyperCard stack that I wrote to help myself study. I created it after reading through a mountain of information and realizing that only a small amount of what I was reading applied to tests 1-3.

Things to Keep in Mind About the First 3 Tests:

1.  Use common sense when answering the questions.

2.  Always think in terms of real ESL students, but not necessarily the real world.

About the Study Guide

1. The information is not broken down by test.  Sorry, I wrote it so that I could study for all three tests at the same time.

2.  The study guide contains no information directly from the first three tests in the battery.  I can not guarantee you that the tests you take will contain any or all of the information in this study guide.

Who is this Person?

I am a classroom teacher with seven years experience.  I do not consider myself an expert on bilingual education, but I did spend several months gathering information and writing this study guide, and I did pass the tests on my first try. (Please keep in mind that I am not a professional writer/programmer, and I did not pay to have this study guide proofread.)
