A little note about this site - it is actually still alive. I know very few people seem to know it's here (three at the last count!), but anyway - you might have noticed that it hasn't really been updated much, which is just because I haven't found the time to do it lately. But there won't be a lot to talk about over the summer anyway, so that's alright.
Well, I don't know about anyone else, but I'm really looking forward to the new season. Yes, I know everyone's disappointed that Macca isn't the new boss, but it was always on the cards that Tommy Taylor would take over anyway. Hopefully Ian will stay on as coach, and with the contacts that the two of them have, we'll be able to put a decent squad together. I just hope the budget's small...I know that's an odd thing to say, as a small budget will probably lead to relegation, but we have to be careful not to overspend again and get into trouble once more. I'd rather break even and get relegated than overspend and go under a few years along the line.
Anyway, I'm sure some of our current players will stay. Obviously, Rodwell and Charlery will be off, and I'm thinking that Pennock will be following them too. But the rest of them have to be possibles, even the AWOL Dean Green, so it won't be a case of starting completely from scratch. There'll be four or five players in the team that we already know, I'm sure.
Argh, now I have to wait until mid-July! :(
