A Visitor from the Past?

"..It started shortly after my family and I moved into our three bedroom house. At first, I would sense that there was someone in the house, and, being a mother of four children, I am always cautious. I would also get whiffs of an unfamiliar and very unusual perfume scent, almost like a strong, flowery-incense smell that seemed confined to different areas of the house on each occasion. I would also catch  fleeting glimpses of a figure out of the corner of my eye, but I never immediately concluded that it might be a ghost until I actually saw it. I was putting the day's laundry away, going from room to room, and I walked into my bedroom, and there it was, almost as clear as a living person. It appeared to be Asian, not very tall, with long, straight black hair, and wearing a long white(?) robe type of clothing. I also noticed it was holding a small fan. It semed like it was looking at the television (which was on ), and when I walked in it didn't move at all, but its eyes just moved and looked right at me. This all happened so quickly, and needless to say, the laundry went flying and so did I right out of the room and found myself clear out on the back patio at the opposite end of the house. I honestly thought at first that it was an intruder. I gathered up my nerves and came back into the house and it was gone.   After that I saw it again on many occasions, mostly during the daylight hours, and mostly it would appear at the end of the hallway leading to the childrens' bedrooms. It would stand there for a second, then walk slowly towards the bedrooms. I noticed that parts of its head and body were transparent. There was yet another incident when my children and I were watching T.V. in the living room and we all saw it walking from the hallway toward the living room, but this time we only saw it from just below its knees, and could see the bottom of its robe swaying as it walked and could see its feet. It appeared to be wearing some type of sandal with socks. To this day it still likes to make impromptu appearances, and I still sense it most strongly in the in the kids' bedrooms. I did find out from my son's neighbor friend that there used to be an Asian family that lived here for many years prior to us moving in, but I can't say if that has anything to do with this or not. I'm not well-read on Asian cultures, but I think it might be from another time era, based on its appearance. I have never seen anything like this in my life, and would like to find out more about it. *Update: 10-8-99 A next door neighbor reported an incident that occurred several months before this family moved in. Apparently the previous resident had passed away, and the neighbor had witnessed several strange occurrances in the residence while it was vacant. The deceased tenant was an older Caucasian woman in her 50's who died of cancer, and was well-liked in the community.

* We also learned that prior to this woman's tenenancy, there was in fact an Asian family that lived there for many years. More on this as we continue to investigate.

* Update- More strange incidents happening

10-19-99  "..On Tuesday I was home doing my daily house routine, and I was in my bedroom, and heard my son at the door asking me to unlock the  screen door. I walked down the hallway, and to the door, and when we returned to the hallway we both noticed that three of the six   pictures that hang on the wall in the hallway were all turned diagonally in the same direction, but still balanced on the nails, as if someone had deliberately turned them so. And on Sunday night, around 11:30 p.m. the trash launched itself into the middle of the floor from its place nearly four feet away. (There was no one in the kitchen when this happened. ) I saw  part of its arm and its hand one night, but haven't seen the full appearance as of recently. We're  considering moving at this point."

Update~ 04~oo.

Reports continue from this location and one resident reported feeling like she was being choked. A few weeks later, the oldest daughter reported the same thing. It was then decided by the family to perform a banishing ritual to send whatever was responsible for those actions  away.
" I didn't feel that it was trying to harm us, but rather trying to tell us something.....I told it I would not allow it to harm my family or me, and I sent it to the Light, reassuring it that it would find peace there."  After that, things were 'quiet' ..nothing unusual happened, not even the sense of a presence.
Then, last night, I was checking the locks in the house before going to bed, and out of nowhere came this heavy perfume smell, the same exact scent I ha d smelled before. It's almost like a jasmine flower mixed with some sort of incense.  The perfume seemed to be confined to the living room area near the entertainment center.  It was there for a few minutes, then it was gone. "
