I bought a $10,000 Stereo System and they threw in the package for free! Details: My 92 Thunderbird SC was origionally owned by Sony Corp.of New Jersey. It was a rolling showcase for automotive/and consumer electronics related shows across America, from 1992 through 1995 demonstrating Sony's entrance into the Top-end Auto Stereo market with their Sony ES Component System. Sony then organized a raffle open to their employees for a chance to bid on purchasing this unique vehicle. My neighbor, a District Sales Manager for Sony won the raffle and had the car shipped to California. When he moved in 1998 I mentioned to him that I had always been interested in the car so he sold it to me. At this time it had 73,000 original miles on it and had spent most of its early life in custom covered car carriers, on the show circuit, and then used as a daily commuter from home to Sony's Sales office in Burlingame, CA. Features: Sony ES Digital Processor, Main Power Amp, Digital Crossover, 4 channel amps (Lows,Mids,HIs,and Reverb), 10 disc Digital (Fiber Optic Connected) CD Changer, AM/FM Tuner, and trunk mounted battery, and 130 amp Alternator. All strung together with 00 power cable and Gold Ckt Breakers and Power Blocks. Behind the rear seat is a custom fitted box with two 15" sub-woofers cofazed. There are speakers in all the doors and quarter panels and it sports a Sony head unit in the dash with an LCD color display screen. The whole thing is controlled by a stalk next to the gearshift on the center console/ or a TV type remote control, so your backseat passenger can control the sounds. I've added a cutover switch and RCA jacks to the console glovebox so I can plug in my Walkman to listen to "Books on Tape" on long trips. Additional modifications: K&N Conical Air Filter, Hypertech Chip, modified transmission valve body, DynoMax 2.5" exhaust, Custom front air dam and Fiero rear wing, 225:55/16 Pirellis in front, 245:50/16 Potenzas in the rear, plus air lifts to keep its tail from dragging. Planned future additions: On board Pentium computer and Global Positioning Satellite Receiver wired through the sound system (I can really get lost), plus water injection, external oil filters and coolers on engine and transmission plus an air/water/freon intercooler, and a 140 mph speedometer.
