Bob Dylan is an American folk singer, musician, and composer. He has written many songs about social problems. These songs made Dylan a symbol of protest by young people against what they considered the wrongs of society. His best-known compositions include "Blowin' in the wind" (1962), "The Times They are A-Changing' " (1963) "Like a Rolling Stone" 1965), and "John Wesley Harding" (1968).

Bob Dylan was born Duluth, Minn. Bob Dylan's real name was Robert Zimmerman. Bob Dylan played the guitar, harmonica, and piano by the time he was 15 years old.

In 1960, Bob Dylan went to New York City, New York to visit Woody Guthrie, a famous folk singer and composer. Woody Guthrie influenced the musical style of Bob Dylan, who remained in New York City, New York and sang in folk music clubs. In 1963, Bob Dylan met folk singer Joan Baez, who helped Bob Dylan make him nationally famous.
