Recipe Pictures

-Cut off the Stormtrooper head leaving the two pieces on either side of the arch and the arch itself intact.

-Next color the top of the two halves black. I used a Sharpie marker.

-Now cut the Luke neck down to this.

-Now hollow out this portion of the Luke head. Basically until it will fit over the black arch in the middle of the Stormtrooper's neck and touch the two sides.

-You will have to be creative in shaping the bottom of the Luke neck to get it to fit snug on the two neck halves.

-Glue head to neck.
-Hollow out helmet. Paper thin. I almost punched through a couple of times.
-Cut off hands at wrists.
-Hollow out as much as you can into hands.
-Hollow out good portion of the forearms.
-Cut wire clothes hanger to a piece that will slide in the forearms and allow the hands to slide over the other end and fit flush to forearms.
-Glue the piece of hanger to the hands, slide back into forearms. Articulated wrists.

I have found that the above way of making this figure is better than the boil and pop method. This way you can use the actual Stormtrooper neck and not have to paint the Han and Luke necks black. And this way you get a short neck too. That's important so it wont look funny with the helmet on.

***UPDATE(6/16/01):My plan worked! Making the custom figure like I have diagramed lets you keep the up/down articulation in the head, as well as the side to side.
