Well here we are in 2006 and we are ready to roll. What has happened since my last update in October, well quite a bit. I have joined several virtual recording communities in hopes to get my songs completed. I have already finished one song an instrumental I'm calling Midnight Rush. Once you click on the link find Midnight Rush and click on "STREAM". Also I have upgraded my PC with a new sound card an E-MU 0404. This isn't your daddy's sound card and I'm still trying to figure it out. I've also delved into the world of DVD recording and I'm in process of coverting old videos to DVD, yet another fun learning curve to endure.

I bet you thought I fell off the BLOG wagon, well I guess I did! I've been feverishly trying to get someone to help me record vocals for the song Christmas Time. I spent alot of time redoing the music and now just need a vocal track to complete it. I'm currently persuing virtual help from sites like My Virtual Band, Song Writers 101 and Riff Seeker. I've had a few bites but no vocalist yet.

After correcting some technical difficulties I was having with my PC is an improved recording of Humble Thyself. The old recording had distortion on the bass (not intended).

Humble Thyself - Jammer Version

This my rendition of Humble Thyself. The music was created using Jammer Pro 6.0 then exported as a midi file to Steinberg Cubase SX where I added my bass. Then I used Magix Audio Cleaner for the final touches and to export it as an MP3 file. Quite a process I know but take a listen and give me some feedback. Thanks!

Welcome to opening day for ATB Studios BLOG. This is my first journey into this format so hopefully as time passes I will fully utilize all the wonderful features available. If all goes well this will replace my UPDATES page.

Recent Events

I have been working on some worship tunes written by others and putting my own style on them. To date I've done "Humble Thyself", "There is Joy In The Lord" and "Undivided Heart". Hopefully my next post will include the audio clips. I just purchased a program yesterday by Magix that is basically mastering software. So far I'm excited about what it can do. That is the skinny for now stay tuned more to come!
