I watched What Women Want yesterday and guess what, Merediths song "Bitch" was played!! One word, exfoiliating! The song plays in the trailer as well which is cool!!!

At Last!!!! I've seen Deconstruction at a record store the other day, and this time it's not an import!!!!!! UK fans check out your local HMV or Virgin record store!!!! I can't believe that the delay has been so long!!! Also, Q magazone have reviewed Deconstruction, you know that music magazine - i was flicking thru it the other day and see a really good picture of Meredith which caught my eye, much to my surprise, it was the only album out this month which was given the highest rating out of all the albums reviewed!! ok, it wasn't a full 5 stars, but it was a 4 excellent!!! I think they called Meredith the missing Corr memeber which is a GREAT compliment!!! hee hee hee!!!
Need every Meredith fan e-mail addresses!!! This is a plea from me and Meredith as well to compile a fan database with fan e-mail addresses, what they need to do is collect peoples addresses for an exclusive update from MEREDITH herself!!!!! Meredith's album is out now, you can buy it at any good retailers, check out the Deconstruction page for more information. There has been a lot of TV apperances in the US, like Rosie and Leno, but so far nothing in the UK. If anyone does have any news updates, e-mail me, umbx@yahoo.com, and i will post it here with your name/e-mail if you'd like. A friend of mine rated the album 8/10 which is great in my opinion.
I recently recieved the following info from a friend, apparently she was reading "heat" magazine which had a chart of the most played non-released songs - Lay Down by Meredith was number 10!! not bad eh?:)

Meredith's NEW album is already out!!! Entitled Deconstruction, the Enhanced CD (which might i add I have already pre-ordered :) ) will be out on the 28th Sept 1999. Be sure to buy it or listen to it. According to my sources, the album is even better than BTE, which is kinda surprising. With a difference of a greater appeal to all age groups and styles.

I have heard Lay Down which is on the album, with Queen Latifa as well. Many of my mates agree that it's a brilliant song, i'm not sure when it will be released here in the UK, but check it out.

More news in the UK, be sure to listen to the radio very carefully, also any MTV appearances, as Meredith is in Europe promoting. I still don't know the offical release date here in the UK, but i will try to keep you posted!! More news to come!! :)

MEREDITH'S NEW SONG!! Well at last we hear a new song, "Careful What You Wish For", and I have heard it. I have to say it's a really good, catchy tune where it's got a hook to capture the listeners ear. Head over to MBROCKS at www.meredithbrooksrocks.com to hear a clip of it. Don't cha just love the chourus?? it's so great!! well, update on her album, insider souces say round about end of July or August will be the most probable release date. . DON'T RELY ON THIS INFO though, but the album will be out later this YEAR, YIPPPEEE!!!!:)
UPDATE ON MEREDITH'S ALBUM "Deconstruction": ( from MTV website ) "Almost a year after facing the wrath of an unruly crowd in Buenos Aires, Argentina while opening for the Rolling Stones, Meredith Brooks has returned to a studio to cut a new album, and has landed rapper Queen Latifah to drop some verses on the track "Lay Down."
Brooks and Latifah are scheduled to record the song today at Capitol Records studio in Hollywood, and Brooks has also invited the choir from local area Crenshaw High School to participate in the "Lay Down" sessions as well.
Brooks is currently in the midst of cutting the follow-up to her 1997 multi-platinum debut, "Blurring the Edges," with co-producer David Darling. The album is tentatively titled "Deconstruction" and will feature songwriting collaborations with "Bitch" co-writer Shelly Peiken and Corrs' producers Rick Nowels and Billy Steinberg.

originally posted at MB Mania, I've decided to put up the transcripts of a few interviews Meredith did last year in the UK. Click on the links to read them. . . . .Snap Cackle and Pop- Big Breakfast (CH4)

"Meredith the billboard", yup, you've heard right, the place is LA and here's a exclusive picture of it right here!! ( courtesy of MBROCKS ) sorry about the pict, it was taken slanted up the wall, pretty cool pose though huh?:)
February 1999: well, Meredith is keeping quite busy nowadays, writing songs, even for Movies, if you catched the movie Snake Eyes, you would have heard her BRILLIANT song, Sin City, which is totally cool. BUT now, she has a new song to be released with the soundtrack to "Ed TV" - - I have a feeling it's gonna be good, her song is called, "Careful What You Wish For" and the soundtrack features other artists like Bon Jovi and the ( ahem ) Bearnaked Ladies.. . . .so, does this mean that this track will be on her forthcoming album. It seems like we may know what COULD be on it, my sources say the following WILL definitly be on the album : Back To Nowhere ( such a lovely ballad type of song ), Sin City, and High Anxiety Girl which sounds similar to Wash My Hands, so I've heard. So if this is true, this is what, 3 out of say 12 tracks known??? I CANNOT WAIT FOR HER TO FINISH THE ALBUM!!!! It's been too long since her last release here in the UK, come on, I wanna hear more material. Hey, just a thought, she toured for well more than 12mths, I'm being harse aren't I?? :( I'm sorry Meredith, but I cannot wait!!:):)

ok, I wanna say something. I want to admit that I'm starting to like Hanson as a band, nothing else, ok, I can already can hear the "errrrrr" right now. But no, even Meredith likes them, and it was cos of a friend that I'm mentioning them now. Here's a direct quote from Meredith herself on what she thinks of them. . . .( from the interview CD )

"You know I've been amazed about this "Hanson thing" because as I get to know more about MMMBOP, there really is a message behind that, and I LOVE that, I support that I think there has to be that in pop, I think we have a duty at this stage in the game with our planet and everything going on, and with kids who are younger than me, to have something for them aim for and look up to and have hope and let all this hopeless mess, it has to be in the background now."

Oh, in a chat once, someone asked her: "What do you think of the young group Hanson? Meredith: Hanson rules."

So Please do not be so quick to rule out good talent, see if Meredith was seen as a "oh, another female guitar player, she must be crap, I won't listen to her", we wouldn't be so much of a fan ( or whatever you call yourself ) and people wouldn't listen to the great art she has produced : little superficial differences may blind people from seeing the truth, what I say is that ignore them and see the light shine through, whether it's with Meredith or with Hanson. . . . .er, does that explain why I linked up that Hanson site on the front page yet?? no?? E-MAIL me then!!:)
