Pork with Wine Sauce (Slow Cooked)

  • 2 pounds boneless pork, shoulder or butt
  • ½ tablespoon sugar
  • ½ cup light soy sauce
  • ¼ cup water
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup dry sherry
  • ½ teaspoon freshly greated ginger
  • ½ tablespoon mein see
  • 2 green onion, chopped
  • 1 star anise
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • Mix all the ingredients, except the pork. Place the pork in an

    ovenproof casserole that is just large enough to holed the meat. It

    should not have too much room. Pour the sauce over the meat

    and bake, covered, for 6 hours at 275.
