Why I Write Fan Fic
I have been asked why I write fan fic several times. So this is my answer.I write fan fic for several reasons. First of all, I am not dillusional, I am not on any strange medications, and I am not one of those fans that are so obsessed they go pyscho. Believe it or not, I am very well in touch with reality. I know I am not really Brian's girlfriend, I know that Illusion will probably never become famous, and I know that I will probably never meet the Backstreet Boys. But it doesn't matter.
I am obviously a huge fan of BSB, and I have a very overreactive imagination. Combine the two, and you get my fan fic. I have always love writing, and I have found that the words come out so easy when I'm writing about BSB, mostly because I can picture it all in my head so vividly.
Fan fic has helped me get through a lot. It helps me get my feelings out more easily. Most of you will not be able to see it, but those people who know me really well will be able to see that I get a lot of my feelings and problems out in my writing. I'm not going to explain how, or give examples. I'm just telling you, it's there.
Fantasizing is perfectly healthy and an enjoyable experience, as long as you stay in touch with what is real and what is fake, as I do. Through fan fic, I can share my fantasies with other fans who will enjoy them almost as much as I do.
I will tell you right now that ALL my characters are based on someone, either myself, one of my friends, or someone else I know. I find it hard to create characters out of nowhere, so I base them on people. It creates better fan fic and a more enjoyable and vivid experience for you, the readers.
I love everything about fan fic, and I love everything about running a fan fic site. Maybe I should spend more time on my schoolwork and less on fan fic and this site, but frankly I don't care. I'm not stopping writing and maintaining this site for anything. Right now I just want to thank everyone who bothered to read this, and those of you who are helping this site grow in such a short amount of time. I love you all.
