At 5 HD, a Sutek Vampire may become Invisible at will. This affect is not an illusion, but rather a charm or enchantment. Others simply will not notice the Sutek Vampire. This power also has a culmative silence affect as well, as the persons will not notice any sound as well. If major distrubences or loud sounds are made, then people in the area, may make a saving throw with bonuses relfective of the distrubence, to notice the Sutek Vampire. This ability is intended to remain unseen, and any action such as attacking, will automatically negate this affect. The Sutek Vampire can also change from his charismatic charming appearance, to a hideous and horrifying appearance. This affect has a Cause Fear (reverse of Remove Fear) affect on chosin victems. Victems must be able to see the Vampire for this to take affect. A Sutek Vampire of 5 HD can also cloak her true aura and has an affect of Undetectable Alignment which is the opposite of Know Alignment. This affect also works on other spells or psionics that detect the true nature of the Sutek Vampire.

At 7 HD the Sutek Vampire may Hypnotize people or use a charm person power through their gaze with the snake like golden eyes with a black iris. Victems receive a -2 on the saving throw due to the powerful affect of these gaze abilities. The Sutek Vampire may also Change Self at will, and also has the ability to appear as different people to multiple persons at the same time. If the image chosen is someone that the victem knows or is familiar with, the victem will receive a saving throw. The victem will receive bonsuses to the save depending on how well the Sutek Vampire pulls off the charade. This can be culmative to role-playing performance and knowledge of character to imitate. Note that this ability is not illusionary by nature but rather a charming affect.

At 9 HD the Sutek Vampire may implore an invisibility power of either Improved Invisibility or Invisibility, 10' radius. The Sutek Vampire can litterly vanish right before the eyes of everyone in a room. The Vampire may also shape change so as to take on the form of a giant constrictor snake or a small snake. All gazing abilities can be easily used while in this form. Also, blood may be sucked through the serpent's tongue. Also at this level Sutek may summon other lesser creatures for aid. This is usually 50-500 snakes that magically appear to their master's call. In other areas 4-24 large sized reptillians may also be summoned and will arrive in 2-12 rounds. One of the favorite scenarios the Sutek Vampire likes to create, is to summon several hundreds of snakes and lead intended victems into his den. Then if the Sutek Vampire needs to elude the party, she can turn into one of many small snakes and wander off or reform behind the party.

At 11 HD the Sutek Vampires have the powerful abilities of Mass Charm and Mass Invisibility. The Sutek Vampire can also use a poisonous breath where the victem must save vs. poison at -4 or die.

Sutek Vampires will also have other powers besides the powers common to all Sutek Vampires. Each category (3HD, 5HD, 7HD, 9HD, 11HD and 13HD) the Sutek Vampire may have two additional powers for a culmative of 12 extra powers. Six of these powers (one ability per HD category) may be be sacrificed for one of three ultimate powers: Celerity, Strength, and Regeneration. A Sutek Vampire may elect to have powerful strength where she can strike for 5-10 points of damage culmative with strength bonuses. Strength is raised by 2 points (or two categories if Strength is at 18). If Strength is still lower than 18/76, then Strength is automatically raised to 18/76. The Regeneration power allows a Vampire to regenerate 3 hps per round and raise Constitution by 2 points to a minimum of 18. Celerity allows the Vampire to be quick and agile and allow the Sutek Vampire to move at lightening speeds. The Vampire has a permanment Haste in affect. Once per day, the Sutek Vampire may have a culmative triple haste affect. Dexterity is also raised by 2 points to a minimum of 18.

If a Sutek Vampire does not have one of the ultimate powers, i.e. strength, regeneration, or celerity, he may have some other abilities.

The Sutek Vampires are a sentient undead creatures that roam cosmos in search of their hero and leader Sutek. Their search is so fanatical, that they have formed a cult in hopes of one day he'll return and spread his rath upon the universe. All Sutek Vampires have some role of importance within the cult.

All Sutek Vampires contain part of the lifeforce energies of Sutek, the Destroyer, through their blood. Each vampire can infect other humans with their power, and they will become an undead creature of the night. Any new member affected will be two HD lower than her creator. This is why newer members whom are offered the gift of Sutek, will be preselected beforehand. Persons that have risen to prominence within the Cult of Sutek, will be extended the offer to join. This pervents rogue vampires forming their own armies of lesser vampires.

Also, these newer members may have once been warriors, mages, rogues, pscionists, etc. in their prior lives. Thus Sutek Vampires may have more HD from their previous careers, before they were touched with the gift of Sutek. Also, there is nothing to preventing a Sutek Vampire from following a class profession after her alteration. Thus there will be Sutek vampires with higher HD than mentioned here, but the culmative vampric powers will not reflect this. Which ever HD gives the most advantage will be used. Thus Monster HD will be used over Wizard HD, but Warrior HD will be used over Monster HD. Note that monster HD is used in determining powers and seniority within the Cult of Sutek, not class based HD.

Combat:The powers and abilities of a Sutek Vampire varies depending on how close they are to Sutek. The levels will range from 3rd level to 13th level. The closer the Sutek Vampire is to Sutek, the more power and higher level the vampire may have.

All Sutek Vampires can drain a victems blood at 3d6 hp per round. The Sutek Vampire must successfully hold or grapple a victem and bite the victem's neck. Once a successful attempt is made, the victem will be paralyzed to react to draining of blood. This attempt will require two successful attacks, as an unwiling victem must be grappled, and then struck by the fangs. Sutek Vampires also have the ability to suck blood through their long snake-like tongue. This only requires one successful attack. When the tongue contacts the skin, blood is then sucked at 3d6 hp per round.

At 3 HD a Sutek Vampire may at will Hide in Shadows (100%), paralyze with their gaze, and charm people within the area with the same affect as friends spell. When paralyzing people with their gaze, their eyes will turn golden color with a big black iris, similiar that of a serpent. Victems may make a saving throw with a -2 penality to avoid this affect.

At 3 HD, a Sutek Vampire can have anyone of the following powers:

  • can be able to manipulate the shadows within the area. Shadows of normal size may become giant size or tiny size. They may creep and engulf a person and simply disappear.
  • can communicate with animals similiar to the Speak with Aminals spell of the same name. (This includes Reptiles as well.)

At 5 HD, a Sutek Vampire can have anyone of the following powers:

  • can create Darkness or Darkness, 15' radius
  • can summon animals as per Animal Summoning II spell.

At 7 HD, a Sutek Vampire can have anyone of the following powers:

  • create black shadowing tentacles that appear as serpents similiar to Evard's Black Tentacles
  • can calm the agressive bestial nature of animals similiar to Control Animal

At 9 HD, a Sutek Vampire can have anyone of the following powers:

  • can conjure up minor shadowy monsters as per Demi-Shadow Monsters spell.
  • can possess animals and control them similiar to a Control Animal spell.

At 11 HD, a Sutek Vampire can have anyone of the following powers:

  • can move through shadows and even insert one hand into a shadow and have the hand appear out of another shadow. This allows allows a Sutek Vampire to move easily through shadows similiar to have a Wizard moves through Dimenion Door. The Sutek Vampire may also travel great distances through the shadow similiar to Shadow Walk spell.
  • can erage others with the betial rage. The recipiant has the affect of temporarily becoming a berserker.

At 13 HD, a Sutek Vampire can have anyone of the following powers:

  • instead of many vampires that can turn into a gaseous form, the Sutek Vampire can actually turn into a shadow monster as per the Shadow Form spell mentioned in the Wizard's Handbook. Note the Sutek Vampire has no chance of permantly become a shadow.
  • A Sutek vampire can establish a permanment or temporary telepathic link with an animal (usually reptillian). This link is powerful and has similiar affects of Charm Person or Mammal (for only animals but also reptillians) and Animal Friendship. The Sutek Vampire can see, hear, and direct the animal in its actions.

Like other vampires and undead, Sutek Vampires are immune to sleep,charm, and hold spells. Also Sutek Vampires are not affected by poisons and are ummune to paralysis. Cold and Electrictiy based spells will only cause half damage

Habitat/Society: The Sutek Vampires operate out of temple found on some hidden asteroid in space. They utilize Spell Jamming vechicles to transport themselves throughout the cosmos. All powerful Sutek Vampires, e.g. those of 13 HD, hold high positions within the temple known as The High Order. There will be some vampires in lower positions at 11 HD and 9 HD. Some of these Sutek vampires are sent on special missions throughout the cosmos. These special agents will be allowed to infect other people, only with decreed permission, to assist in their mission to locate and free Sutek, the Destroyer. In these cases there will be operatives at 7 HD. Never will a 7 HD be allowed to infect others. If they do, the creators and their children will almost immediately be destroyed. The High Order (Sutek Vampires of 13 HD base) wish to keep the objective of the cult pure and do not want splinter groups to be created with different ambitions and priorities.

In The Cult of Sutek, high priest strive to prove themselves to be successful and worthy of immortality. Those that prove themselves and are deemed worthy will be extended the offer to become one of the breathen and be changed into a Sutek Vampire of 11 HD. Other priests that pull off amazing feats, prove their loyality, or are deemed worthy, will be offered to join and become a Sutek Vampire of 9 HD, and in rare cases at 11 HD.

Only Sutek himself can create Sutek Vampires of 13 HD or possibly higher. There is rumored first one of 15 HD created by Sutek himself. It was this First One that created The High Order. This has never been proven.

Ecology: All Sutek Vampires live for one objective, locate and freee Sutek, the Destroyer. Until this happens Sutek Vampires serve and worship the faith of Sutek, awaiting for his return. This is done by following the decree of The High Order. In absence of The High Order, best judgement is used as how to best serve Sutek, the Destroyer. Poor judgement will be punished harshly, while good judgement will be rewarded amply and praised.
