Max was, as you may or may not know, the drummer for Bruce Springsteens E-Street Band before Bruce went solo in 1986. This summer Bruce is releasing a box set of greatest hits, and going on a world tour to promote it. He's taking E-Street with him.
Max announced in January he'd be leaving late Night March 1st, but would be returning in six months. Lets hope so.
Until then Jimmy Vivino, the guitarist for the MW7 will take over as musical director, and James Woodsworth, a drummer, apparently, will take over for Max.
What this means:
It just means that, despite the fact that Dave is on at an earlier time, Late Night is getting more viewers.
But conservatives think differently.
Some people were so upset and offended, NBC agreed to never rerun the episiode again.
Late Night staff, Conan, nor Alec Baldwin have yet addressed the situation.
"The 'Late Night with Conan O'Brien' 1999 Calander"
Can you say ye-es? This fine peice of art is rumored to be a day-to-day calander, but nobody knows for sure because it hasn't been released yet!
"Live From 6a ECD"
"ECD" stands for "Enhanced CD" which means it has CD ROM capabilities. Not only is it a regular music CD (completely the same as the original too.) but you can play it on your computer and get some video, and probably Internet links.
To order, go to amazon.com and search "Conan O'Brien" under books or CD's.
First there was the book, then the CD, now Late Night are releasing their Fifth Anniversary Special on video. It's $19.95 and there's a selection of three different covers to choose from. Call 1-800-NBC-1500 to order your copy.
You may or may not have heard about ConeCon's, so I will explain. A bunch of Conan fans organize a meeting in New York City, attend a show taping, etc. There have been 3 so far, the last was last year. They have progressively gotten worse, so Stephanie, a different one, has decided to do something about it, by planning VERY far ahead.....all the way to the year 2000..........
NBC Europe has done the unthinkable. They have stopped showing Conan and Leno on NBC Europe. I've spoken to a few Europeans, and they are suffering. They need their Conan. So, to help, go to Linzi's KEEP EUROPE CONETASTIC campaign. And if you have a Conan site, be sure to get a banner like the one below on it.
