TITANIC'S THIRD CLASS (STEERAGE) PASSENGERS

This page is dedicated to all of the Titanic's Third Class Passengers, victims and survivors.

When the Third Class Passengers came aboard the Titanic at either Southampton, Cherbourg or Queenstown, they all anticipated a better life in America.
Many of these people had lived in America or Canada before and were returning to their "better lives".
Others were coming to the New World for the very first time.
None of them could have ever imagined the ordeal they would experience on April 14/15, 1912.
Out of all these hopeful people, only twenty-five percent would live to see their destinations. The other seventy-five percent would meet an untimely death in the frigid twenty-eight degree Atlantic Ocean.

I am a Titanic Third Class Passenger Historian and I am currently writing a book about this entire class of passengers. If you have any information or questions regarding any of these people, please feel free to e-mail me.

A special recognition is due to many people who have helped me get where I am today: First, I would like to acknowledge all the descendents and friends of the Third Class Passengers who so willingly related their stories. To all of my Titanic colleagues, THANK YOU for your help and support. To Reece and Andy for your undying love and encouragement. To my family for your love and listening to me speak nothing but "Titanic" for the past four years. To RS for keeping me focused and remembering "proper grammar". To Aaron who is a dear friend because he is who he is. To Mark, who is a dear friend, now and forever: Thank you for the support and encouragement.
