Iron Crossover Battle Guidelines
Welcome to "Iron Crossover"! this is a challenge in which I will issue a challenge to all the willing designers of this board to create a crossover concept for a randomly selected team in the "Big Four" (MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA) and a randomly selected sport for which that team is to be crossed over to. before we move forward though, here are the guidelines, so to speak:
Every set must include a full home and away uniform or dark and light uniform. alternate jerseys (and in the case of baseball concepts, hats) are optional and only one alternate may be included.
A full uniform consists of headgear, jerseys, pants/shorts, and socks
home/away or dark/light uniforms are to be made using only the selected team's current identity (colors, uniforms, city and name. No "retro" logos may be used.
For clarification on what is a current logo, please refer to SportsLogos.net. Any logo listed as "....-Pres" is a current logo. Anything else is an old logo.
only use logos that are associated with the selected team - no logos from another "big four" team are to be used
(example - no editing San Francisco Giants logos for a SF 49ers baseball x-over)
For NHL themes, use of the Zephyr "x-line" logos is permitted, so long as they are used as secondary or tretiary logos and not as primary logos.
the alternate jersey will be allowed for more flexibility, and if the designer chooses may create it as a herritage uniform for the team that is chosen. however any colors/logos/city/name of the selected team must be consistent with the era the designer is trying to depict
(example: a seattle mariners hockey uniform must utilize the current logo and the navy/northwest green/silver on the home and away, however the alternate may use the old trident logo with blue and yellow if the designer so chooses, but it cant include a recolored compass rose logo)
please submit all componets of the concept on one JPG or GIF file, and be sure the URL is correct (this is only to make things easier on me for when I set the voting up)
Do not post your concept anywhere except the Iron Crossover contest thread. Reposting in the poll thread is not necessary as I make the concepts available to the voters on the thread
only concepts that adhere to all these guidelines will be considered for voting
