Sequoia Art Group (SAG) is a non-profit organization which was founded in 1963 by artists of Redwood City and surrounding communities with the goal to improve the artistic skills of its members and promote fellowship among artists and persons interested in the fine arts. Under the motto "support each other" the group sponsors demonstrations by well known Bay Area artists and other lectures on art related subjects. To bring art to the community, SAG organizes the annual Redwood City Spring Art Show which is free to the public and open to all artists residing between Belmont and Menlo Park including students of the Sequoia Union High School District. SAG also arranges group shows at local venues such as city and county government buildings, libraries, hospitals, restaurants, coffee houses and banks.

The Sequoia Art Group meets on the fourth Friday of every month (except June, July, December and January) at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center, 1455 Madison Avenue, Redwood City, California. The meetings start at 7:30 pm and last until about 9:30 pm and usually involves a demonstration of some art technique by a well known artist. The meetings are open to the public.
