PCY in Mexico

Youth Unlimited Gospel Outreach

Since 1996, Pomerado Christian Youth has sent a team on a week long mission program to Mexico. This team serves in a small community on the outskirts of Tijuana, using a local church as their base of operations. The coordinating group YUGO provides a based camp known as the Tijuana Outreach Center (TJOC) from which as many as 25 teams go out into the surrounding areas.

The youth provide programs for the community including a children's Vacation Bible School, a Sport's Ministry for Teenage Boys, and a Women's Ministry. Then each night an evening service is held with the music and message provided by the teens themselves.

Our 1998 Team

For 1998 PCY was joined by a group from the Hayward Chinesse fellowship. This group photo shows our team from our youngest member, Blaine Shelton, who is 5 years old, to Nancy Martin, our nurse and advisor to Women's Ministry, who is not 5.
