School Philosophy
Young children learn through their play. Within a Christian setting we provide a developmentally age-appropriate curriculum with opportunities for learning through exploration and first hand experience. This enables each child to grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, mentally and physically.
Size of Classes
We maintain a class size of twelve children in a self contained classroom with a qualified teacher. In addition to the teacher's we also have a teacher's assistant available to assist the teachers and the children.
Hours Of Operation
Morning Classes (AM) 9:00 to 11:30
Afternoon Classes (PM) 12:30 to 3:00
MWF - AM 4 classes of 4 year olds
MWF - PM 2 classes of 4 year olds
2 classes of Gift of Time
TTh - AM 4 classes of 3 year olds
TTh - PM 2 classes of 3 year olds
2 classes of 4 year olds
Gift of Time Students-Children who turn 5 by December 2nd.
Regular sessions run from September through June. We follow the Poway Unified School District calendar and holiday schedule.
Lunch Bunch
Lunch Bunch is from 11:30 to 12:30. A maximum of 24 children may participate each day. It is necessary to sign up in advance. Morning children stay an hour longer while afternoon children arrive one hour early. Each child brings his or her own lunch. A Lunch Bunch coupon can be purchased in the preschool office.
Snacks
A healthy snack is served during each session. Fruit juice is provided with snacks. Children frequently assist in the preparation of snacks.
Registration and Tuition
A registration fee is payable each year. The registration fee is $40 and is nonrefundable.
Tuition is based on the number of school days in session and then divided into 9 1/2 equal payments if your child is registered in September.

Enrollment
Pomerado Christian Preschool is licensed by the State of California, Department of Social Services, to serve children ages 2 years 9 months to 5 years of age. The school admits students of all races, colors, national origin, and ethnic origins with all rights, privileges, programs and activities of the school. All Department of Social Service form, including a physicians health report and age appropriate immunizations, must be on file before the first day of attendance.
All children must be toilet trained
