After leaving Southern California in November of 1970, my parents moved to Clarksville, Arkansas. As do all people, my father wanted to be back home with his siblings and parents. My father went into business for himself and opened up 4 United Dollar Stores located in Clarksville, Russellville, Ola, and Danville. United Dollar was recognizable by the "Crowing Rooster" emblem. I attended several schools in the area. First, I finished out my sixth grade at Michie Elementary (now defunct). After that, I went to Clarksville Middle School followed by Clarksville High School.

WalMart came to town and ruined everything. Small town America was butchered by the Walmart way. My parents divorced after my junior year at Clarksville (Life can be mean). I moved up to Sikeston, Missouri and I attended my Senior year at Sikeston High School. Funny thing was that I walked around with a Clarksville High School Senior ring on my finger while attending Sikeston.

After that, I attended Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. I graduated with a BS in Geology. My grades were mediocre at best. Mediocre grades really get you know where today. So, I finally went to work in the Sikeston area at a local ice cream factory followed by 10 years of working in a cat litter plant never being able to utilize my degree.

I went back to college (as a non-traditional student at the age of 35) and I got a second degree in Industrial Technology. My grades were excellent and I was able to repair my GPA to a 3.0. I took my degree and moved to Kansas City where I worked for Optimation, Inc., a CAD/CND software company. From there, I got another job working for Scriptpro, a company that manufacturers robotic pharmaceutical dispensers. I can finally say that my life is content and I am settled.

Being a confirmed bachelor, I got set in my ways. I can say that I am the owner of a 3 year old Chow named Rosie who gives me all the unconditional love I need...although some conditional love wouldn't be so bad either. My father bounced back and he is now a successful Russellville, Arkansas tabacco and pet store retailer and my mother is retired from the same ice cream factory that I once worked.

And there you have. My life so far.
