Looking for the Neenach St., Sun Valley, Ca. Kids of the Late Sixties: WHERE ARE YOU NOW?

MANY APOLOGIES TO ALL FOR I HAVE NEGLECTED MY WEBSITE FOR MANY MONTHS BUT NOW I'M BACK WITH A NOLSTAGIC VENGEANCE!!!

Let me take you back to the late 60's where a birthday party is being held in Ronny Davis's backyard on Neenach St., Sun Valley, California. The purpose of this website is simply to seek out kids who were living on this street between the years 66-70. Look to see if you find your name in the following list or photos: * Casey Mosier * Charles Mosier * Toni Downey * Laurie Kelly * Jimmy West * Bradley Hoshiko * Carrie Hoshiko * Raymond (Mangler?) * Eddie (Mangler?) * Candy and Penny Wolf * The Rogers (Kenny, Elizabeth, Richard, Tommy, Billy, and Mary) * Michael Powell * Chris and Jay Chastain

WHAT FUN WE HAD!

Here is another shot from a later time. I got to feeling nostalgic one day as I looked at all these old photos. I have not seen these people in over 30 years. If you find yourself on this site from a search engine and recognize yourself in the list or photos, sign my guestbook or drop me an Email to let me know how you are doing. If you are not one of the kids in the photos, but have vital information about them or if you wish to express your experiences in discovering childhood friends, please do the same.

SECOND BIRTHDAY PARTY

My second birthday party: (Starting from the right and going counter clockwise) Casey Mosier, Ronny Davis, Toni Downey, Charles Mosier, Laurie Kelly, Chris Chastain, Mark (last name not known), and Michael Powell (wearing blue shirt). SOME IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE: (1) The two kids named Mark and Shane are not from the Neenach St. neighborhood and their mother's name is Carol. (2) Apologies for those whose name I spelled wrong (3) Unfortunately, time takes it's toll and I may never be able to contact all the kids, but wherever they are, I wish each and every one of them a nice life.

Face it, kids and toys go together. This list of toys that were popular during that era should bring a familiar sigh.

1. Strange Change Machine-Mattel 2. Superball-Whammo (Lost of few of these bouncing them over neighbors houses) 3. Thingmaker sets (Creepy Crawlers, Creeple People, Picadoos, and Mini Dragons)-Mattel (We all know how our Mom's loved "goop" too.) 4. Universal Monsters "Old Maid" Set-(This one brought back nolstagic "scares".) 5. Slip N'Slide and Water Wiggle 6. Hot Wheels-Mattel (I was always bad about breakng the flat track connectors.) 7. Feely Meely (Does anybody remember the items that you could feel in the Feely Meely box?) 8. How about the windup timebomb toy that you threw to other players and if it went off when you caught it, you lost?

The picture below is me today. This picture is a recent reluctant addition to my website because nobody likes to show others how time can rob them of their youth.

Another exciting thing about living in Southern California was the potential of getting to know a celebrity. My father became a very good friend to one of the Three Stooges(which was allright by me). I don't expect you to recognize him from the photo since his tenure with the Three Stooges was short (he played the role of the the third stooge between the Shemp Howard and Joe De Rita days. That's me with a flattop hairdo (what kid didn't have one in the mid sixties) in front of his home in North Hollywood. Email me or sign my guestbook on the next page if you can guess what his name was.
