These ratings provide a standard by which the condition of used photo gear can be expressed. When selling, I utilize these standards in conjunction with a written description (and photos if available) to create the most accurate representation possible. Please email me with any questions you may have. I normally reply within 24 hours.

NEW : Never sold to a customer and never used. New as shipped by the manufacturer or distributor with all original packing and instruction manuals. Merchandise sold as "NEW" must be elidgible for full warranty service from the authorized importer/distributor in the USA.
NEW OLD STOCK : Never sold to a customer and never used. New as shipped by the manufacturer or distributor with all original packing and instruction manuals. Merchandise sold as "NEW OLD STOCK" (such as a "warehouse find") usually does not qualify for manufacturer's warranty service as production of the item was probably discontinued long ago.
MINT : 100% original finish. Just like factory new, but may not include original packing material or instruction books.
EX++ [aka; MINT-] : 95-99% of original finish. Probably used very little. No major brassing or marring of the finish. Optics perfect, mechanics perfect.
EX+ : 90-94% of original finish. Probably lightly used. No major brassing or marring of the finish. Optics perfect, mechanics perfect.
EX : 80-89% of original finish. May have a finish flaw or two which detract slightly from appearance. Optics perfect, mechanics perfect.
EX- : 70-79% of original finish. May have relatively large flaws in finish which do not affect function. Optics perfect, mechanics perfect.
GOOD : 60-69% of original finish. Complete, but may be scratched or scuffed. Metal may show wear but should have no corrosion, rust or pits. Optics perfect, mechanics perfect.
FAIR : 50-59% of original finish. May or may not be perfectly functional, but all known functional defects are clearly stated in the ad. Probably would not be attractive to the eye.
UGLY : 50% or less original finish. Well used and worn. May have missing parts or may not be fully functional. All defects must be clearly stated in ad.
UGLY- : 50% or less original finish. Well used and worn. Missing or broken parts, probably beyond repair. Suitable only as a source for whatever spare parts can be salvaged.
