Welcome
To My World of Color
My name
is Griselda Tello-Yarbrough,
I have
been painting since I was in my teens
and
teaching others how to paint for over 35 years.
The
purpose of these pages is to share with you how much
fun
it is to just pick up color and transform a simple
print
into a magical work of art. You do not need to know
how
to draw or paint to have fun with color!
I primarily
work in oil and acrylic mediums,
but
I enjoy photography and making crafts.
I enjoy
painting with DecoArt Americana Colors
because
they provide a large selection of rich
and
vibrant colors, and I do not need to waste time mixing.
Make
sure you visit Decoart website
And take a look at Let's Paint Magazine.
Within my
pages you will find some unique ways
to transform
an image that someone may judge as
"just
an old house", into a romantic cottage garden..
Start
your very own art collection by playing
with
any photos of neighborhood homes or
magazine
pictures.
"Painted
Prints"
Making
a painted print is very simple, I decoupage
a print
of one of my photos into a small canvas
or a
smooth wooden surface, which I seal with a
permanent
varnish. Then using acrylic colors I touch
up the
print, using small strokes, covering any unwanted
areas
and adding flower beds and bush trees where needed.
I will
soon have a detail list of all the supplies
you
will need and more detailed instructions.
Here are a few samples
of what I have done with some wonderful photos
that my dear friend
Anne brought back from England during her vacation.
For now,
please visit my other web sites and please leave me your comments in my
guest book.
