Rubicon '99 Trip Report

Here are links to various pictures that I have had time to upload... More to come, along with explainations.

Posing at the plaque. That was a friend of a friend that was riding with me. (sorry about the focus, stupid Macro switch on the digital camera...)

Me starting up Little sluice. (This was my first day doing any wheeling, and I decided to try Little Sluice anyway... ;) More story to come later....
Still starting up L.S...
Up the second obstacle, just before I got high centered on front and rear diffs simultaneously :(
Another view.
I made it! You can see the long gauges on the boulders from my diffs in the foreground...
Had to stop for something, not a good picture of flex though.
Steve's sister going into Big Sluice.
I ended up carrying a bunch of the gear from the group of 7 people in my Jeep, Notice the rear sag. It was real interesting with all that extra weight! This was taken at Wentworth Springs just as we were leaving.
Taken while waiting for some other people to get off the trail.
There I am flying up Cadi. Hill. No, I am not going that fast, but I had to keep my rpms up becuase my carb was flooding constantly, and if I didn't keep the rpms up, it would just die. So I just had to use "Momentum"! :)
That's me in the white t-shirt posing with my Jeep. The guy in the red shirt is Steve, the guy that ends up selling me all his Jeeps when he needs cash. He just moved to Bakersfield, so you may be seeing him on the Hammers in the OD YJ that is in a couple of those picts.

That is most of us posing at the lookout at the top of Caddilac Hill!

That's Steve, his mom and dad, and his sister.
The othr two that were with us are out of the picture.
Well, one of them had to go out after the first day to get back to work,
the other one is out of the picture, and I am taking the picture! :)
What a view! ;)

OK, Got to run, will add more later. Sorry about the formating, no time to fix it! :( bb
