Rose married John on June 9, 1940. When she speaks of him, she says, "He was a good man." Rose and John joined their brothers, sisters, and friends on Saturday nights at the "Cottonwoods" where they would dance to lively music. Not so very much different than today's youth enjoying the passions of romance and song.
Rose's beauty is unsurpassed on the happiest day of her life.
Rose, and her six sisters (as lovely as the summer's peaches)....and did they have the local boys charmed!
As the grandchildren gathered to sing to Rose, "Love is a Rose," the air was electrified with the passions of heartfelt rhythms and song.
