Please find below a summary of the types of calls we respond to on an annual basis.



Blacks Harbour is a small fishing village located in the Southwestern region (Charlotte County) of the province of New Brunswick. The population is just over 1200 people, whose strong sense of community is readily evident to visitors of the area... everyone knows your name!

Home to the world's largest sardine company, Connors Brother Limited. Situated on the Bay of Fundy, fishing has been a vital part of the communities existance for over 200 years. Connors Bros. is a major provincial employer with a work force of 4000 people during the peak production periods.

Blacks Harbour also provides the mainland gateway to Grand Manan Island. Grand Manan, the largest island in New Brunswick, is situated approx. 20 mile offshore. The year-round ferry service operates from Wallace Cove in Blacks Harbour to North Head on Grand Manan, a 1.5 hour ferry ride. .

We provide Fire and Rescue Services to Blacks Harbour and surrounding communities.
