Idiopathic Scoliosis

Scoliosis has been defined as a side bending "S" shaped deformity of the spine. The condition of Scoliosis has nothing to do with the spine. The spine is caught in the middle of two reflex systems gone off and spinal deformity is the result. The spine has nothing to do with the cause; therefore, treating the spine in any way, such as binding, body casts, body braces, surgery etc.. will not have any prolonged effect on the "condition of Scoliosis"

All muscles must be ready to work at all times (the fight/flight reflex activity of survival). The muscles are always partially turned on, thus creating a muscle tone so that if there's a need for instant activity, especially in defense, the muscles won't pull itself apart or rip off the bone. If the reflex mechanisms are compromised and wrong signals are sent to the muscles, this then causes a steady unbalanced pull on the structure to which these muscles are attached.

This is the start of the spinal curvature we know as Scoliosis. Because the unbalanced pull is constant, 24 hours a day, the bones of the spine are pulled out of alignment and ultimately becomes distorted. When the entire reflex system is specifically corrected or balanced, the condition of Scoliosis is reduced or stopped from deforming further. Regardless of the extent of the spinal involvement of the condition of Scoliosis, when you eliminate the abnormal muscle pull on the spine, the spine automatically gets somewhat straighter and, therefore, the patient becomes somewhat taller.
