FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I get a lot of questions; some about philosophy, some about procedure, some ridiculous, some hilarious.  Usually, this is because people want to understand.  I gladly answer any question that comes from that place.  My basic principals are not any more complex than high school algebra, but yet they don't talk about energy healing in high school.  To learn more about Energy Healing though, don't start here; go to my Energy Healing Pages.

The list of questions below are actual.  If you ask me a question that I feel belongs, I may add it here.  Of course, I'll always answer you individually.  And I will never put in any information here that would allow any one to trace any question back to you.  Everything we do is 100% confidential.  As with all of my pages, the purpose of this page is to try to de-mystify a very simple, but often misunderstood subject.  Since I find many of the questions I get to be funny, I present them to you in that spirit.  I take my work very seriously, but I don't take myself very seriously.  I submit that this outlook is healthy.  So have some fun!

   Are you weird or something?

 Something

                  Are you Psychic?

Yes

How cool is that?

It has it’s moments, but there are more psychic people in asylums than anywhere else.

Are all energy healers psychic?  Do you have to be psychic to do energy healing?

Energy healing is as mathematical and tangible as E=mc2.  There are many excellent non-psychic energy healers out there, but I must admit I don't know any personally.  The "empath" part; the ability to see and feel the energy at that level, is a psychic ability.  It is crucial and integral to my ability to heal.    I do not believe I could heal people if I were not psychic.

Can you tell my future?

Well, yeah . . . some.  Actually, anyone who claims to be able to tell you your absolutely accurate future is full of poop.  My “gift” is to able to see what’s going on inside you, and heal the things that aren’t going well.

I can tell you a lot about your past . . . just by looking at you.  You are a creation of your own thoughts and reactions to the world around you.  You wear it like a comfortable sweatshirt.  You wear it on your body, and on your aura.

Can you tell what I'm thinking?

Sometimes

      Can you see my aura?

                    Yes.

What's up with that?

Actually, you have seven layers of aura (some people say nine).  Each of these is a different body.  Each is more "subtle", which means in effect, harder to see.  I see the first three layers very well.  To see layers beyond that requires much effort on my part, but I often do in my sessions.

Illnesses and barriers are often manifest in the aura layer.  When I find them, I can pull them out.

Can you burn my bad karma?

Sorry.  This is all on you.  But maybe I’ll help you figure out how to do some of it.

Do you have anything to hide?

Nope.  But I still close the door when I go to the bathroom.

Can you change my luck?

Absolutely

Are you in to astrology?

Yes.  I'm not an expert astrologer by any means, but I often (not always) do my clients' charts, especially if there is something that is not responding well to first treatments.

Do you heal everyone who comes to you?

No.  But neither does your doctor.  In fact, neither did Jesus.  All healing comes from God and within yourself.  There are no incurable situations, but there are incurable people.

What are chakras?

Chakras (literally "wheels", from Sanskrit) are energy plexuses in the body.  There are seven main chakras, twenty-one minor ones, and scores of tiny ones (which correspond to acupuncture points).  A chakra is an energy center, and specific chakras correspond to specific areas of health (or lack of health).  There are plenty of resources which explain this in detail.   I explain it a little further elsewhere on this site.  For those who come to me, I will explain what's up with your chakras, within the context of what's up with you in general.

Are you good with kids?

Yes.  I'm very good with kids.  They are malleable, and do not have preconceived notions about what can and can't be done.  Kids need to be old enough to be still, but other than that, we're cool.  Sometimes during adolescence, young adults get that adolescent "attitude" and have no use for me.  If parents browbeat their kids into coming to me, I do not often have good results.  But normally, if they come to me at all, I can help them.

Are you good with senior citizens?

Usually; not always.  I have worked on some cool seniors with open minds and hearts, and we get results as good as I get with young people.  It is a part of the normal human life cycle though, that we are born "rubbery" and we harden, or ossify, more as we age.  Energy moves more freely through pliable mass.  Still, with cool seniors, my work reverses the process, and they become more flexible and less brittle.  Sometimes, people browbeat their parents or grandparents into coming to me, and this does not often go well.  It's not really age though, it's attitude.

Are you religious?

I'm spiritual . . . and metaphysical.  I have strong beliefs which are very dear to my heart.  If you do too, good for you. I do not suggest that you should believe any certain way.  I love Jesus, Einstein, Mother Teresa, Siva, Buddha, Swami Sivananda, Ida Rolf, Bud Willenbrink, Margie Willenbrink, a host of other Willenbrinks, Wilhelm Reich, Denny Crum and the University of Louisville Fighting Cardinals, and many other saints, and holy people and things.

So what are you then?

Try to get rid of that linear thinking.  It will hold you back.  What's up with your need to categorize and classify everything?  It's annoying.  Ask your friends. Worse, it is a destructive quality that will lead you away from total health, not towards it.   What I am is someone who can help you get from where you are to where you need to be.

I had an energy healer who didn't need to touch me at all.  Why can't you be like that?

I don't know.  I am what I am.  I assume this "no contact" healer didn't get the job done, or you wouldn't be back out there looking around.  I only know how to do what I do the way I do it.  I'm prepared to admit it's my shortcoming.  What I can do is make you healthy.

I'm looking to pamper myself with a relaxing and refreshing one-hour break from the cares and stresses of the day.  Are you the person to see?

No.  There are lots of great massage therapists out there who do precisely this type of work.  (Unfortunately, there are a lot of incompetent ones, too).  Contact me, and I'll give you a good referral.  I guess really I can do this work very well, too - but it's not my "thing".  Massages are great.  I get them.  I recommend them.  My work is very compatible with massage.  Come see me Monday, go get a good massage Tuesday .  It's all good.

I thought boundaries were good things.  Why are you so down on them?

Boundaries are great in principal, but they are the Frankenstein's Monster of 1990's pop idiot psychology babble.  We need boundaries.  Here's a couple of good ones.  "I will not murder."  "I do not maliciously cause pain to other living things."  But the way it's happened, people think they they are entitled to do whatever they want whenever they want to, and they never have to think about anyone else, or do anything they don't want to do at any time.  It is this outlook that's got you so screwed up in the first place.  Every now and then, try subordinating your immediate desire to some consideration of the good of others.  It will liberate you.  OK - now down form the soap box.  When you come to me, I'm here to fix you, not gratify you.  Seriously, I promise I will honor all of your boundaries, but if you have too many of them, you'll never be well.

If I've already had surgery, can you still help me?

Yes.  I've worked with many people who have had surgeries of all kinds that I feel were unnecessary.  (Remember, I am not a doctor, and I am not qualified to make those judgments from a medical standpoint.)  Often times those people have come to me because those surgeries have failed (especially back and neck surgeries) or because of side effects (often related to "organ" surgeries).  I have worked with a number of clients who were recovering from various disk surgeries, from cervical to sacral.  I can speed up the recovery time.  At any rate, even if you've been carved up by surgeons, I can still help you.

Do you think it's wrong or shallow of me to want my breasts to be bigger?

Assuming you are a woman, no.  Although, it is good to examine WHY you want your breasts to be bigger.  I think it's healthy to want to look good, given a healthy knowledge that looks are temporary things.  A firm, proportional body is healthy.

Then why shouldn't I get a boob job?

First, ask yourself some questions?  Why are you working that hard to be attractive to the type of person that those fake boobs will attract?  Why do you want unnatural plastic blobs stuck on to you?  Why are you willing to get yourself sliced open, and structural tissue weakened, in order to do it?  You can do so much for your breast size naturally.  Explore that option first.

Women's magazines say you can't naturally change your breast size.  What's up with that?

They're wrong.  If you're not going to stop reading that crap, at least stop believing it.

But they have these doctors and experts and such?

So do infomercials.  They're wrong.

Will you work on women who've had boob jobs and other cosmetic surgeries?

I have a number of these clients.  They are wonderful, and I help them improve their health and energy.  I don't really advise these surgeries, but it's not like it's some sort of abomination.  It's not that big a deal.  Don't get dogmatic.

I've got a prostate the size of a rutabaga.  How about prostate problems and men's issues?

I can help . . . and without the invasive means used by urologists.

I've got a pot belly just like my dad's.  It's genetic.  What makes you think you can change it?

Some genetics are energetic.  No fate is inescapable.  You probably started imitating your dad at an unconscious level before you knew what it was.  It's years of learned behavior that has ground its way into your posture.  It will be hard to grind back out.  But it will happen.

I dislike pets.  Should I come to you?

No.  I have two little dogs.  (There's a picture of the three of us somewhere on this site.)  If you don't like them, or if you are allergic to animals, don't come to me.  Some people don't like my dogs, and have been openly hostile to them, yet my dogs welcome them back lovingly.  This shows me that my dogs are more evolved than the hostile humans.  If you come to me, you do not have to like my dogs, but you do have to pleasantly tolerate them.

   Will you come to me?

Yeah, under certain conditions.  I charge for my travel time, but given that, I'll go about anywhere - even overnight, plane trips, etc.  There are a few things I am happy to go out to you for.  If you are in the hospital, for example, I will gladly come to you.  If you are truly severely allergic to my pets, I'll come to you.

I do not take equipment (massage table, etc.) with me.  I am a healer, not a furniture mover.  You will have to provide the suitable, interruption-free work area.  Call me.

What's so cool about yoga, as opposed to any other exercise?

I could fill a few pages with this one alone.  Yoga is not about exercising the body at all.  The purpose of yoga is to liberate you from your limited mind.  Here's the chain.  Meditation enables you to realize yourself.  Control of the mind allows you to meditate.  Yoga allows you to control your mind.  Why?  Because your body, mind, soul, spirit, emotion,  intellect, etc. are all one thing.

Yoga is balanced.  It does not favor one side of you.  It does not impact your limbs.  It was not "designed" by buff people trying to get sex appeal and sell videos.  The goal is to realize your self.  Yoga moves energy, dismantles your armoring, and blows open your chakras.  By the way, the term "yoga" really refers to an entire lifestyle, not something you do at the health club on Thursdays.

I haven't even scratched the surface.  If you don't do yoga, start.  If you do yoga in a place with mirrors on the wall and lots of spandex, find a new place.  Better yet, find a yoga center or "ashram" run by spiritual people, not jocks. If you tell them you really want to understand what's so cool about yoga, they will answer you.  Contact Sivananda Yoga Center.  See more about them on my Healthy Links.

I've been to you and you've helped me.  How can I show my gratitude?

Thank you, thank you.  And Congratulations.  The fact that you ask this shows you have escaped the self absorbed pull of the "it's all about me" culture.  It's not about me, you just notice that you are thinking more "outwardly" these days.  God bless you.

And yes, since you were kind enough to ask, there are a few things you can do . . .

Send me positive energy.  If you pray, pray for me.  At some point of the day,
if it crosses your mind, just say or think quietly, "Blessings, peace, love, success,
health, prosperity to Joseph".  The universe will hear.

Do well.  Grow.  Evolve. Give. Love. Serve others.  Meditate.
Be prosperous, peaceful, filled with love, unselfish.

Look for God everywhere.  God will be everywhere you look.

Tell other people about me.  Recommend me.  Since people are healed and
do not need to perpetually return to me, I do not create "Joseph junkies".
People get their healing and move on.  My ability to continue this work depends
upon new "healees" hearing about me.

I lecture publicly on subjects espoused on this web site.  If you are involved
in a group that has speakers, workshops, seminars, etc., hook me up.

If you are prosperous enough to afford it (and only if so) send me money.  I do
not turn people away who are needy and poor, and I work on some people
for free or very little.  To some people, I am special.  To my landlord, I am not.

Why are you so into this stuff?

Lots of reasons.  But whatever, I definitely AM into it.

Are you crazy or something?
