From the President

Member Projects - For this month each member has been asked to bring in a formal and informal upright into class to work on. K will demonstrate informal in front of the class. Each class member then will work on their own formal and informal upright tree throughout the year and bring to class for K to evaluate month-to-month progress and the development of the trees. Members can also bring in any other materials to class if the individual wants help on any type or style of their own trees. Please participate; it will be interesting to see how well we do in one year's time.

Membership - Our club needs new members!  If you have any ideas on how we might increase our membership, let us know.  And if you know anyone who might be interested in bonsai, bring them with you to one of our upcoming meetings.

Sacramento Bonsai Club: 64th Annual Bonsai and Suiseki Show at the Sacramento Buddhist Church, 2401 Riverside Boulevard. Show hours are Saturday, 12-Noon-5PM, and Sunday, 10AM-5PM. Satsuki Aikokai of Sacramento: 40th Annual Show at the Shepard Garden and Arts Center, 3330 McKinley Boulevard. Show hours are Saturday, 10AM-5PM and Sunday, 10AM-4PM. Demonstration at 1:30PM both days, followed by benefit drawings. Member and vendor sales also available. Free admission.
