May 2006 Newsletter

May Meetings:

All 2006 meetings will be Joint meetings and will be in the large upstairs room at the Heather Farm Garden Center, Walnut Creek. Meetings are scheduled on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, from 7:30PM to 9:30PM.

Meetings start at 7:30PM with a brief business meeting, and end at 9:30PM.
Please be ready to meet at 7:30PM.

Tuesday, May 16th. - 7:30pm. Board Meeting, Charlotte Wood School, Danville.

Wednesday, May 17th, - 7:30pm. Joint Class Meeting. Lecture 7:30-8:00pm - Fukinagashi and Kengai(windswept and cascade styles). 8:00 - 9:30pm - Workshop.
Refreshments: Robert Lausten and Jack Mahshi.

From the President:

Thanks to all of you for again making a successful Bonsai Show available to our many guests, and helping keep the beauty of this ancient art alive. A special thanks from all of us to our 2006 Show Chairman, Steve Huskins and to his Committee Chairpersons for their hard work and dedication.

May 20-21, Saturday and Sunday, Sacramento, Satsuki Aikokai of Sacramento Annual Show and Sale at Sacramento Garden and Arts Center, 3330 McKinley Blvd. Show hours are Saturday 10AM-5PM and Sunday 10AM-4PM. Demonstrations both days at 1:30PM.

May 21 , Sunday, San Mateo, San Mateo Bonsai Club Annual Satsuki Bonsai Show at the San Mateo Gardeners’ Association Hall, 503 E. Fifth Ave. (corner of Claremont and 5th Ave.)
