Club News

The October Show was a success again this year thanks to the hard work and participation of so many of the club members.  Success was also due to the generosity of the members in donations to the plant sale, special raffle and hospitality room.  It would not be possible to put on our Annual Bonsai Exhibit without the support of so many members.  Thank you all for a job well done. Financially we did not do as well as last year, but we did about the same as 1999.  In the November Board Meeting we will be reviewing the October Show and if anyone has suggestions for next year's show, let your class representative know or contact a board member or committee head.

In the November and December board meetings and we will be preparing the schedule of the club activities for the year 2002..  Let a board member or your class representative know if you have suggestions.

Our club librarians conducted an audit of our library during the September Basic Class and have reported back to the board.  The following is a list of the items that are out of the library:

            Bonsai Today issues 6,17, 19, 46, 49, 51 and 52.

Video: Bonsai Art& Horticulture of Miniature Trees and Landscapes by Yuyi Yoshimura

            Complete Book of Bonsai

If you have any of these items at home please bring them to one of the November meetings.  Just a reminder when you check something out of the library please return it at the next monthly meeting.
