12/26/02 - Merry December 26th, everyone!! Today I ate some pretty good sushi. The waitress was really in need of prozac.. or something.. cuz she was just all over the place. Go Koreans working at Japanese restaurants. Woo! Uh so then me and my family went to the MEN'S Wearhouse cuz my brother-in-law and I wanted to buy new suits. I think one of the guys who helped me was gay cuz I was just standing there trying on a jacket and he just walked up behind me and started rubbing my arms and breathing on my neck. Man. That was creepy. And then he told me that I was in great shape. Hey man, don't give me your cheap pick-up lines! Your smooth words aren't gonna work on THIS business, g-dawg. So I ordered a new suit and then I went to the mall with Jane.. and shopped for 5 HOURS! Dang. It was worth it though cuz I got some GOOD pasta at the local California Pizza Kitchen. Nothing like some fettucine in garlic cream sauce to shake off the advances of another man.
Randomness: Dude. Gangs of New York wasn't good. It really wasn't. And that's why the Golden Globes will never gain my respect. ever.
12/23/02 - This is my life: Woke up at 1 PM today, ate leftover pizza and then went to Michael's with a friend to buy crochet stuff. Taught her how to crochet and crocheted for a couple hours. Then made curry. The potatoes were a little mushy cuz I guess I didn't fry them long enough, or maybe I should have fried them in a different pan. Yup. That is my life. Potato drama.
Randomness - Watched Minority Report last night with Jon Chan. It was just as good as the first time I watched it. WHEN IT WAS CALLED MINORITY REPORT. Oh wait.. no that didn't work.
12/19/02 - BIG disappointment today. I thought Letterman said Finch was their musical guest, but it turned out to be PHISH. MAN! This is my life.
Randomness: Don't have a cow, man. HAHA!! What does that mean???? HAHA! HAHA! LOL LOL!! jk! JK! ok, bbl!! ttyl!! LOL! hehe! ; )
12/15/02 - Wow. My cousins have a LOT of energy. They can play forever. And ever and ever and ever. Oh, to be seven and/or two again! Anyway, yea I went to go see my cousins today. They're visiting from Kansas. I like it when they come to visit cuz my aunt and uncle tell me stories about how white people over there don't know anything about Chinese people. Some of their friends have never had tofu before! It's like a whole other country over there!! Okay sorry if I'm white people bashing I really don't mean anything by it. I have much respect for white people and their fascinating culture. Well now that I've offended everyone I think I will go to sleep. Sorry, all. I haven't done much to the rest of my page.. I think I'm getting lazy. Well I already am lazy. But I'm getting lazier. And I'm just going to keep getting lazier until I implode and become a highly-concentrated vaccuum of laziness that no one will be able to escape. Come over, we'll watch TV and eat Easy Mac all through break. Sloth to the max!
Randomness - Denise's feet are gross.
12/13/02 - Okay friendlies, I know I haven't updated this place in like forever, so I'll let you know everything that's been goin on in the past ten days. Well things have been pretty hectic.. I had finals last week. Okay they weren't that hectic cuz I ended on TUESDAY but still I studied like a crazy the week before. Ok actually just 4 days before. And I didn't even study that hard. And I only had like thirteen units this quarter and only two finals. And I didn't even do that great on my finals.. well I guess what I'm trying to say here is that I am a total slacker. Yea slacker right here, homies. Then after finals I played forever! I went to Pam's hood in the valley with Cindy and Michelle and they bought balloons and pet fish for people who still had finals, and me and Pam bought groceries to make dinner for Esther. Okay I know what you're all thinking: Why is he hanging out with so many girls all the time? Well, my friend the answer is simply this.. The womens love me. I am the ladies' choice. Okay I know what you're all thinking now: William is NOT the ladies' choice... Okay well you're right. I'm not. But wouldn't it be cool if I was? I could be like hey baby, I'm your choice. Whether you like it or not. HA HA! Okay what the heck am I talking about? I don't even know anymore. Something about a turtle and a duck. Okay I know what else you're thinking: Who gets pet fish for people who are still taking finals? Well, Cindy and Michelle! THAT'S who! So then Thursday I had lunch with Honda and Eubanks and it was good. Then at night we went to 515 and played tricks.. Wait, that was Wednesday. Okay nevermind. Uhm what else.. Oh today I came back home!! with Tanu and Sara W. Road trips 4-eva. Okay i'm sooooooo sleepy so I'll make the rest of this snappy. OOOH, okay so remember when we all went to go slide down the hill by janss steps?? SURE YOU DO! Well after me and Fu came back from that we just stuck our close in a trash bag and kinda decided to worry about it later. Well later turned into 4 weeks. And then I was cleaning up my room the other day and I saw our bag of clothes and so of course I opened it. There were mushrooms growing out of my pants! SIcK!! OOOH my gosh that was the sickest thing ever. EVER. Then Me and Fu tried washing the clothes and then when we got the clothes out of the dryer they totally smelled like mushrooms. No, seriously guys, it was the sickest thing ever. YES Magic.
12/3/02 - Allright allright, this update is long overdue. So Thanksgiving was allright. I got to go home but I found out that we don't have internet anymore! Crap! So I wasn't able to do my paper that was due Monday after break also. And now I can't do my matlab hw. Everything is falling apart, yo. Ok I'm tired. I'm going to sleep. Sorry if this is a disappointing entry, Alex, but I need to hit the hay. Later on, everyone. I'll continue on this later.
11/25/02 - I went to my home church today. I mean my HOME HOME church, down in Thousand Oaks, baby. Home of the famous nothing! We went to watch David Chang get baptized. It was good stuff. Then we had fu, I mean pho, and then I came back and took a 2 hour nap and then got up to eat again. We went to Buca Di Beppo for a quintuple birthday celebration! It was FAN-freaking-TASTIC. Okay I will leave you all with this... AIM CONVERSATION OF THE DAY -
pam124: im going to write a book relating dump analogies to dating..
pam124: and its going to be called peek-a-poo
pam124: pictures will be included
11/22/02 - WHOO! Done with midterms for the QUARTER, baby! One more paper, and 2 more hw assignments and I'm done, like a turkey that's done. On Thanksgiving. Today I went to Monterey Park with old people. It was A-OK. There's nothing I like more than a trip to Asia town on a Friday night. The Thai Iced Tea was good, but I was a little disappointed with my BBQ pork bun (char siu bao). Better luck next time!
AIM conversation of the Day: This is my friend at USC. Don't mess with a Bruin.
DREAMYGERL: Beat the bRuins >:o
whirliam: yea you guys will probably win tomorrow
DREAMYGERL: You and Renny are making me sad
whirliam: but that doesn't change the fact that you guys pay 6 times as much as us for a worse education
DREAMYGERL: :P
DREAMYGERL: Riiiigggghhhhhtttt
whirliam: and that you guys are in the heart of the ghetto
DREAMYGERL: We are not in the heart of the ghetto!
whirliam: where as we are surrounded by celebrities and nice cars
whirliam: and our campus is nicer and we have better professors and people here are just more down to earth
DREAMYGERL: Oh whatever
whirliam: nice comeback
whirliam: did you learn that in one of your classes
DREAMYGERL: You can't compare with our journalism, business or cinema schools
whirliam: you can't compare with our overall literacy rate
whirliam: hahaha
11/21/02 - Progressive Dinner toNIGHT! YES! Frosted Flake chicken! UNH! Yea it was pretty good. At dessert time Fu whip creamed my ears. It was FAN-freaking-TASTIC. Then I went up to him to try to get him back but TPSAACF separated us. It's good though cuz things could have gotten ugly. Thanks Lisa Chung for so lovingly cleaning the crevices of my ears with a Q-tip! Oh so when I got home I got Fu back with this really old banana that's been in the fridge since like the beginning of the year. I broke it in half and squeezed out the innards and they went STRAIGHT INTO FU'S EARS! YEA YEA! I think the war's on now. Take that, sucka! Okay midterm tomorrow, be afraid for me.
Randomness - I think it's getting harder to be random! Space monkey!!
11/20/02 - I went to Ashe today cuz my throat hurts like a mamma, and also I have a cold. So I went in and the nurse was like Yea you have esophagitis or something and she went on for like 20 minutes about my T-cells and whatnot. Then she told me to take Maalox to sooth my esophagus but I went to Ackerman and all they had was cherry flavored Maalox and it had ANTACID AND ANTI-GAS in big letters on the front of the bottle so I was like No thanks, buddy. I can handle my gas on my OWN. I think Fu's starting to get disgusted by it though. The gas I mean. OH anyway so yea I have an inflamed esophagus so I need to drink cold liquids to sooth that but I also have a cold so I need to drink hot liquids for that. I'm so torn! I just don't know what to do with myself. Well for now I'll just go to bed. Night everyone!
Randomness - Fu is a raver.
11/17/02 - Wow, do you know how much power is in your wallet? It's like your ENTIRE LIFE! I was going through my day today without my wallet and I realized I couldn't buy anything cuz I didn't have money or an ATM card or credit card. Then I realized I couldn't even eat cuz my Bruin card is in there too! CRAP! I can't even EAT! Or work out at WOODEN. Or get into Sproul! And then I realized I couldn't check out a book at the library back home even if I wanted to, cuz my library cards are in there too. BOTH OF THEM! I also realized I'd never see my movie stubs or my high school ID card ever again. Kinda puts things in perspective, huh? DON'T NEGLECT YOUR WALLETS! Especially if it says bat mother... SHUT YO' MOUTH on it. It is truly a sad thing to lose a wallet. It's like losing a limb but worse. No, really. Oh by the way, I found it later today after church. It was freakin under Pam's purse the whole time. Freakin' A, man get me all worked up for nothing.
Randomness - I fixed Fu's guitar. I am a freakin freaky deaky. All I had to do was solder the wires back to the input outlet and put it back in. I think I inhaled too many solder fumes cuz I was dizzy for a while, dawg. Hopefully it's non toxic. I wouldn't like to get my stomach pumped ever... again. Mmm, fumes.
11/16/02 - Didn't do much today, but I DID lose my wallet. Where the heck is it? If you can tell me I'll give you all the 2 bucks that's in my wallet. I really hope it's in Pam's car cuz if it isn't I'm screwed. Oh I forgot to say that on the night of the Harry Potter premiere they had a ton of posters and stuff, and I really wanted to take one, and I asked one of the photographers if he could get me one, and he started taking one down but the security guards told him he couldn't. Other photographers already got posters for some people and they were already walking away with them and the security guards all ran after them and took them back. MAN! What jerks!! They're just gonna throw those away anyway. Dang what the heck. So anyway I was mad at them, the theater, the people at WB, and the world, so I had to do something. And then Rita was mad too and she was like why don't we take the metal barriers or the red carpet or something. And then we saw some stands with velvet ropes on them and I was like Hey I could get a velvet rope. And Rita was like DO IT! And I looked around and totally no one was looking so I just went over there and took one, and I saw a security guard at Diddy Riese so I stuck the rope under my sweatshirt and walked away. I was pretty proud of myself. I think I'll take it back later cuz I feel bad. It probably doesn't even belong to the WB people. It's probably the theatres and I just stole it. Serves them right for being jerks.
Randomness - Here's what I said to Pam today: Pam your idea of partying is putting on the My Best Friend's Wedding Soundtrack and watching the Practice and eating digestive crackers. HAha I'm funny.
11/14/02 - I went to the Harry Potter premiere in Westwood tonight. Pretty disappointing. The biggest stars there were Coolio and Leelee Sobieski. What kind of a name is Leelee?? Seriously. And what kind of a movie is Here On Earth?? Man that movie was freakin terrible. I didn't tell her that, though, cuz that would have been mean. I mean I guess beggars can't be choosers in the movie industry. But MAN, I wouldn't have done that movie if they paid me a million dollars and gave me a lifetime supply of chicken McNuggets. And COOLIO! I mean seriously man, all he does now is Hollywood Squares and celebrity Fear Factor with the other washed up celebrities. He was talking to every reporter there for like 20 minutes. I think he missed the spotlight. The end (of this part). So I found this lighter on the ground the other day and it still had fluid in it so I kept it and it's sitting on my desk now.. and lately I've been wanting to set everything on fire! I have this orange on my desk but I've only been able to char it. I also burned a tissue but I blew it out quick. And just now I tried lighting my desk, and now I think I'm going too far. I hope Fu doesn't read this entry. He might try to take my lighter, and all the power it carries. Fire.
Randomness - Man this premiere was pretty bad. I remember last year the whole cast of Friends was here and also ER and others. But best of all last year was Charlton Heston. Yea, THE Charlton Heston, also known as Moses, Ben Hur, The Guy From Planet Of The Apes, or, most recently, president of the NRA. Now THAT was a movie premiere.
Haiku - This one's for Alex.
Alex, what a "guy" Hey, sorry man. later.
He takes thirty-minute showers.
What?! What a flamer!
11/13/02 - DUDE my weekend was boring. No one was around. I ended up going to 515 a lot to hang out with the northern apartment people and others. That was pretty allright. I went there everyday, dawg. We did things like watch Spiderman and watch Snatch and watch Lord of the Rings. It was mantastic! Uhhhhhhhh oh on Monday I went to Natalie's and cooked dinner. Well she cooked too. A little. Just kidding she cooked a lot. It was good. Then afterwards I went to Ernie's birthday party extravaganza. WOOHOO. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MANNY. Dang Ernie's got a nice apartment. It's too bad he's crazy. All dark meat chicken? What are you, nuts? Which reminds me.. has anyone seen those crazy Gideon commercials? THAT guy's crazy. What's his deal? And what is he? Turkish? Austrian? I really don't know. We may be crazy but we're not stupid.. at Crazy Gideon's..
Random Fu Fact - Fu likes old school gangsta rap and techno music.
11/8/02 - Well I had an exciting day today. I went to class, then went home, then went to Ben's apartment to pick up my Bruin card, then I came home again and kinda sat around. It was CRAZY. OH, and then me and a bunch of others went to Janss Steps and slid down the hill on box lids and dining hall trays and stuff cuz it was all wet and slippery from the rain. We are so cool. So we got there and I took my box lid and tried to surf down the hill on it but that didn't really work so I just put it on the ground and ran and jumped on it. Yea that didn't work at all. The lid just kinda stayed in its place and I tripped on it, breaking it in the process, and tumbled down the whole hill. I couldn't stop, too. Luckily the lamp post was there to break my fall. So yea we ended up taking garbage bags and putting them over our bodies and poking holes in them for our heads and arms. Then we just kinda slid down that blasted hill on our stomachs. It was pretty fun, but kids don't do that yourselves. Too many children have died needlessly in garbage-bag related incidents. Probably like 2. Keep out of reach of children. Yea I got pretty freakin dirty. But not dirrty like Christina Aguilera. She's dirty with an extra "R". That's stank ho dirty. haha random. Oh so at the end we were all dirty. Even the girls went down the hill! That was fantastic. But Fu wasn't dirty enough, I decided, so I tried taking him down into the mud. Man that Fu is hard to take down. But when there's a WILL there's a way. Did you catch that little play-on-words there. My name's WILL and I said WILL... IAM. I don't really like being called Will though so don't call me that. Only a few people can. You know who you are. Okay so after that retardedness people went to go watch 4 kilometer or something. I mean 8 mile whoops. I didn't go though cuz I didn't grow up on the streets like Alex Wang. I ended up going to Westwood for boba/In-N-Out, then to 515 to kick it, ghetto style (meaning Jane was there). We freaking got lost trying to find a shortcut through through the apartments. Why is Westwood so confusing? It's an outrage, really. So yea we stayed there till like 4, and now I'm writing this at 5 AM. Hey, Fu is pretty funny. We were at Brandon's and he was like "you guys want a ride home?" and Fu was all "that would be greaaaat." hahahah! I guess you had to be there. Also, Fu likes gangsta rap. Ok I'm done. Oh wait, Conrad got hurt tonight too. He kinda dislocated his shoulder but not really. So I hope you feel better man! I'll be prayin for you.
Randomness - I think if I ever became a professional kidnapper I would just hold the people I kidnap for a really cheap ransom. You know, something like 70 or 80 bucks. That way, people won't mind that much to pay up and they'll have a new appreciation for their loved one that I kidnapped and they'll have saved money from not getting kidnapped by a greedier kidnapper. For me, all I have to do is kidnap 2 or 3 people a day and that's already like 200 some dollars! Every day! Man, I'd be set for life.
Beware - Okay so a few days ago people squirted mustard and other foodstuffs on Fu and I's window. At first I thought it was some punk kid throwing eggs on Halloween, but today I realized that our window was the only one that got hit. So it has to be someone we know. I have narrowed it down to someone who goes to UCLA. And who I know. And who Fu knows. So whoever you are, mustard thrower, we're gonna come after you evildoers. George W. style.
11/7/02 - I got a 53/60 on my Fortran midterm. I am the smartest man in the world. Man today was a long day. I woke up at 9 am to the sound of Kenny Kakimoto's voice, and then we went shopping at Smart and Final. We got a bunch of 2-liter sodas for 79 cents each, and 3 pounds of ground beef for 3 BUCKS! Afterwards I felt smart. And final. HA! After that I went to Nerdtown USA, I mean Boelter and Math Sciences building, for 3 hours of class, then went to Kenny's to make dinner for some totally awesome freshmen guys. I made garlic mashed potatos and tacos, and Kenny made katsu. Yea, I know, random. It was an international meal, baby. So then after dinner we went to Ben's apartment for men's fellowship, cus I'm a man and therefore a fellow, and I like ships. So there ya go. Okay I'm up at a rediculous time. You know it's not even the 7th! It's actually the 8th now, and it's almost morning. Crazy gangstah gangstah lovin.
Randomness - "There really is a thin line between stupid and... clever" - This is Spinal Tap.
Birthday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEN CHUNG!
11/2/02 - I missed my first class of the quarter today! It's cuz I had to watch this movie for English. It was freaking long, but I got to watch it in the media library in Powell which was kinda cool. I don't think I really take advantage of all the great resources UCLA has to offer. Like tutorials, media labs, and construction workers. I went to Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles tonight, too. I ordered the 1/2 chicken and 2 waffles dinner, and I ate it ALL. WHOO!! I am the best. That soul food is gonna kill me.
Randomness - I ate too much.
10/31/02 - Halloween tonight. The night when punk kids dress up in scary costumes and go around asking for food. Or in Pam Pao's case, Thursday. Woooooohooo. Didn't do much today. Went to class, met with lady's man Kenny Kakimoto, then went to Conrad and Alex's favorite date spot, farmer's market, with my favorite seniors Esther and Lisa. I'm the coolest. Crap, dinner was bad at De neve tonight. I'm never eating there ever again for the rest of this day. De neve is overrated anyway. Oh I saw the Japanese version of The Ring tonight. It was pretty scary. Dang those Japanese people know how to mess with you. Well actually only one part was pretty scary. The rest was just poorly translated in the subtitles. Be hurry! Be hurry! Hey. Be hurry. I'm gonna be scared tonight.
Randomness: Why does Carson Daly have a late night TV show. Really, what has he done or accomplished in his life to deserve a talk show and Tara Reid for a girlfriend. Besides painting his last two fingernails black and being a humongous tool, I really have no idea. Also, why does he have a drumset in the background when he doesn't play or even have a band. I'm gonna go write NBC a letter right now. Take Care, everyone! AND SIGN MY GUESTBOOK.
10/28/02 - Well I got my midterm back today. SUCK SUCK SUCK! Okay well I didn't to SO terribly, but for the amount I studied I would have liked to do better. It's times like these when I feel like leaving the stressful, mundane life of engineering and switching to Asian Am. Studies and meeting lots of chicks. Sorry, I just had a conversation about that a little while ago. But that idea don't sound half bad right about now. Letsee.. SNL was pretty good tonight. We had each person go around telling their testimonies. It was cool. Also, Emilie Chang was there so that was cool. Also, Mike Yamanaka's real last name, I just found out, is SANCHEZ!! IT'S TRUE!
Randomness: Sorry, I'm kinda tired so I don't have time for this randomness crap. SIGN MY GUESTBOOK, SLACKERS!!
10/26/02 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAKMEISTER!!
10/25/02 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIENER!!
10/24/02 - WHOO! Thanks Steve for teaching me math. Wish me luck on my 33A midterm tomorrow, fans. WHOO!!
Randomness: No time for randomness. Sorry. BYE!
10/18/02 - Dude my fortran teacher is such a jerk. I just want to throw an apple at the back of his head. grlakrlsijf. Anyway today I went to freakin fortran, and then I met up with Kenny for discipleship. It was good. Then I went to work out with the Wanger, and boy are my arms tired! Hmm, then I came back and ate and then went to study with Pam, Mike, and Kenny at Denny's. They got good apple pie there. And we had it a la mode which made it better except that the ice cream had bits of ice in it. That is a sign of a cheaply produced, low-quality ice cream product. It really pisses me off when there is ice in the ice cream. Kinda like how my jerk of a fortran teacher pisses me off. Man, quit being such a jerk! Sorry for the anger today, folks, but I am just a big ball of rage. I am a hot little potato right now.
Randomness: Question- How much money would it take for you to streak across Westwood Plaza at noontime? Answer- for Mike Liu, $40 plus bail.
10/17/02 - Wow. 10 whole day's since I last updated. Wow. Hmm let'see what's been goin on the past 1.42857 weeks.. Well, there's been lotsa stuff. SNL's been going pretty good. I like it a lot and we have a good time coming up with skits and shizzle. OH I went to the NSU dance last week and it was crazy hot! No, it really was hot. It was like a freakin oven. And we were dancing for like 3 hours. It was me, Mike Yams, Lisa Chung, Esther Noo Nah, Ernies, Sheauan, Miriam, and friends. It was fun, but the next day I had such a sore back and it was sore for like the next 4 days. Which brings me to my next point: I AM AN OLD MAN. Dude when did I get so frail? Also, I went running last night and this morning my foot was killing me. And I had to walk all the way to public policy. Man. Disgusting. I blame this on osteoporosis. Or menopause. One of the two. Okay time for bed. Take care all. Later.
Randomness: I think they should make a new musical movie, like the ones back in the 50s.. you know, like Singin in the Rain and South Pacific. Except instead of Gene Kelley, it should be Samuel L. Jackson With SAMUEL L. JACKSON!
10/7/02 - I am buttcrack-tired so I'm gonna keep this short. Today they served Korean BBQ at Rieber. It was good. Today in math I was sitting next to this girl eating a burrito and the smell was wafting over to me and I said, "That's a pungent burrito." And my other friend couldn't stop laughing. SNL was good, but it lasted 3 hours!! Insane-o. Okay I'm done byebye.
Randomness: Walla Walla.
10/4/02 - Yea it's about freaking time I put up new pictures. I'm back at school so I get to use their scanners and it's oh so free. Enjoy, friends. So yea today was allright. We had a welcome picnic for AACF and I met me some more freshmen. It was superb. Also, I learned how to make some chili from Roy Padre. Good. What else.. oh tonight we had a pre-birthday birthday party for slap-o himself, Alex Wang. Happy Birthday, brother. I still owe you some slaps in the stomach. Dude you guys I seriously need to crack down on this school business. I haven't done a freakin thing man. okay I'm gonna get to work. Later dawgs.
Randomness: Baby, do you like fine cookin'? Cuz I got Swanson's dinner in the freezer, with your name on it.
10/2/02 - MAN! I haven't updated in a while. Sorry folks. I don't think anyone cares. Anyway tonight was awesome. It was the first real AACF meeting of the year and it was good times. I joined SNL (which stands for Salt 'n Light), the skit team at UCLA's AACF, and I was in my very first skit! WOO! Also there were crazy lots of people there. Probably about 200 people, yo. That's crazy. I met so many new freshmen and newcomers. People are nice. Okay that's all I have to say for now byebye.
Randomness: O'Doyle Rules.
9/24/02 - Sorry it's been so long, fans. I've been busy. Well if you didn't know, I'm back here at UCLA... you know? It's kinda funny how I write these College Life updates as if people I don't know read them. Why would a complete stranger be visiting my website? Unless you saw me on campus and you followed me discreetly back to my dorm room and looked at my screen name on my computer through the window and checked my profile to see my website's address and have been checking it everyday and have sent me your used boxer briefs in an unmarked package through the mail. But that was last year. We're good friends now, right Alex? Anyway move-in was pretty good. It went smoothly thanks to Ben and Brandon, my favorite upperclass girls. Everyday since move-in has been pretty hectic. I've just been visiting everyone I haven't seen all summer and stuff. IT'S NON-STOP, MAN! I've been hangin out with my new roomie FU and seein everyone's new rooms and apartments. And lemme tell you, my room is the bomb diggity. I still haven't visited and hung out with everyone I wanted to yet. Oh, so I've been doing my part as a non-freshman in AACF by tabling on Bruin walk. Man, handing out fliers is pretty tough. It's a good thing I'm used to rejection. Classes start Thursday. Dang it.
Randomness: A note to Robin Williams - TAKE SOME RITALIN, YOU PSYCHO.
9/18/02 - Had lunch at In-N-Out today with Jason and Justin. I always see people I know there. Why am I so popular? Email me or sign my guestbook with your responses to that question. I really wanna know. Yea so I saw this guy from my church and I also saw Joyce, Janice, and Wendy. Food Folks and Fun. That's what In-N-Outs all about. Uhhh, oh yea, I started packing today. UCLA here I come, baby. I haven't gone through this stuff all summer. I kept saying I would go through it and sort out all the stuff I wanted to keep but NOPE. Never happened. And now I sit before you a broken and bitter man. Or something. I'm tired. I'm going to sleep. Man I have so much crap!
Randomness: "Oh, baking chocolate. I used to eat that when there was no chocolate in the house... and now, it's my only friend." -Strong Sad.
AIM Conversation of the Day:
SuperWangMan: I'm proud to be a fan of ur website
SuperWangMan: good job
And I'm proud to have a website that's so incredibly awesome.
School Countdown: 3 days!
9/17/02 - Yea, again, nothing much today. If you're wondering why my normally exciting and intriguing life has dulled down so much it's cuz my grandparents are here for the week. So no more going out everyday and pulling my trademark shananagans. Nope, this week goes out to all the grandparents out there. I think it's kinda nice to just chill at home the week before I head back to school anyway. Respect my grandparents. They're way cooler than yours. Dude I need to start packing.
Randomness: I think it would be kinda cool if I got the Plague for like a day. I mean I might have pretty bad diarrhea for a while.. and I could die, but then afterwards I could get like a bumper sticker or something that said "I BEAT THE PLAGUE."
AIM Conversation of the Day: Let me take this time to introduce you all to my roommate for the coming year, Fu-Chiang Chang (he's from Oregon).
whirliam: do you turn green once you cross the border into oregon?
LegolasBlackbird: yeah literally
...
whirliam: so what have you been doin to pass the time
LegolasBlackbird: tillamook cheese factory
LegolasBlackbird: where else
Okay, some of it's taken out of context. But there ya go.
School Countdown: 4 days!
9/16/02 - Didn't do too much today. I would, however like to share a little website I found in my friend's AIM profile. Here ya go: Japanese grammar at its best.
AIM Conversation of the Day:
pam124: i took like 5 craps today
pam124: how is that humanly possible?
pam124: i am a human laxative.
School Countdown: 5 days.
9/14/02 - Dang. I ate a freaking lot today. At lunch I went out to Palace BBQ Buffet with Jon, Kevin, and Mike Yu, and if you haven't been there do yourself a flavor and eat at the most amazing restaurant EVER. They have raw meat there that you can grill in the middle of your table! It's like Hot Pot City but with Korean BBQ. God Bless those Koreans. And their grills. Ohhhhhhhh MERCY! Anyway, I ate about ten pounds of meat there, and then I went to South Valley's praise night, which was really good, and then afterwards filled up on finger sandwiches, cookies, and cream puffs. I wasn't even hungry! Man! I am such a glutton. And a fatty. Forgive me.
Randomness: Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb bo-bomb. Tell me where that's from.
School Countdown: 7 days.
9/12/02 - I HAVE A WHITE HAIR. I guess the stress of summer has finally gotten to me. Or maybe it's cuz I just turned 19 and I've passed my peak. Well whatever the case is, I better not get any more white hairs. Or if I do, I hope they'll all become white, then I could have the older, distinguished look that chicks go for. You know, like Harrison Ford, or Sean Connery, or Bill Clinton. Yea, I think when I'm old and grey, I'm still gonna spike my hair so punks won't mess with me and put cherry bombs in my mailbox or flaming bags of poop on my doorstep. No, those kids are gonna show me RESPECT. And young men better think twice before they wanna date my daughter cuz this is one old Chinese man you do NOT wanna mess with. White hair.
Randomness: Went to Fish Market today. They got some good fish. And we got 10 bucks off our meal! Can't beat that.
School Countdown: 9 Days.
9/11/02 - Wow. 9/11. Hard to believe it's already been a year. I remember when it happened. It was like 7:30 am and I was totally sleeping but my mom came in and just told me the World Trade Centers were blown up. And I was like "Huh?" I really wasn't aware of what was going on until I got up and then watched the footage over and over and over again. It was so surreal. Yea I know that's cliche but I can't think of any other way to describe it. That night my friends and I got together to pray and just talk and comfort each other. It was weird because everyone was very emotional and I was comforting them but I personally didn't really feel anything. I thought maybe something was wrong with me and that I was some kinda sick, cold-hearted ogre. But after a couple days and seeing the damage and hearing people's experiences and hearing the stories from the families of victims, I was so moved to see how forgiving and peace-minded people were and to see a revival in spirituality and patriotism in our country. The resilience of the American people astounded me. If something like that doesn't get us down, then nothing will. So don't even try.
God Bless America.
9/10/02 - Today was pretty cool. I went to the zoo with Jane and saw all the animals I wanted to see. Except wombats and pandas. They really should invest in a wombat. In fact, everyone should invest in a wombat. They're a very hot commodity amongst the technological advances plaguing our stock markets in this informationalized global per capita. WHAT??! WHAT THE HECK AM I TALKING ABOUT?? Oh right the zoo. Yea I was looking forward to seeing some crazy kangaroo action like when I went to Australia but all the kangaroos did was lay there sprawled out in the cool shade. I wanted to see some kangaroo boxing. Or maybe some jumping action. Or maybe like a kangaroo could like stand up and start jumpin' around, and then like a baby kangaroo would stick it's head out of the pouch, and then maybe he'd pull out this big knife, and like start swinging at the emus, and like maybe talk some trash to the wallabies but you know the wallabies can't really do anything about it cuz they're like half the size of the freaking kangaroos, man. Plus the baby kangaroo's got a big knife. The wallabies wouldn't stand a chance, I'll tell you that much. Yea I would have liked to see that. I would have been satisfied if they would just STAND UP. COME ON I DIDN'T PAY TEN BUCKS TO SEE A BUNCH OF KANGAROOS LOUNGING AROUND LIKE THEY WERE IN CAPTIVITY OR SOMETHING. Oh I also saw some pretty sweet elephants and this freaking mean tiger who kept snarling at me. Dude that thing wanted to rip my face off. Maybe I shouldn't have leaned over the railing like the sign said. Hmm what else... oh we went to the beach afterwards and I found my first real sand dollar! WOO! I mean I always find half sand dollars and ones with broken tops and stuff, but today I found a ton of real, whole quality sand dollars. Man, that was sweet. You know what I found out? Sand dollars are brittle! I was looking at the second one I found and I was wondering how hard it was so I pressed it a little and it broke in half. Yea I know. JACKED. What is a sand dollar anyway? I'm pretty sure it's the skeleton of some animal but what? If you can tell me you get a prize. Yea so that was my day. I know this is pretty long but I guess I'm making up for not updating the past few days. Oh and I haven't been updating because I HAVEN'T BEEN DOING ANYTHING. COME HANG OUT WITH ME PLEASE. Oh and when I came home I got some KFC for dinner. Booyah.
Randomness: props to Jane for getting me this totally happenin' Iron Chef apron. I will treasure it for years and years.
More Randomer: Good luck to YOU, Stein. Kick Harvard's ass.
