Aurora: Aurora's back in school after Spring Break. It looks like she has progressed enough in her speech assessment that she will no longer require school district services... the final assessment has yet to be scheduled.

Orion: Orion loves his gymnastics classes and has been asking often to do "Aurora's work" so I've been giving him some of her old pages as well as some new writing exercises.

Kirk: He's working at Ocotillo Wells State Park, east of Borrego Springs. His latest hobbies include playing D&D (he's planning a quest for his character, a cleric), watching Battlestar Galactica, and planning for the end of the world.

Tien: Tien is off working in Atlanta, Georgia.

Susan: This week I went shooting with Kirk at the gun range. Went pretty well! I shot decently with little to no flinching. Even with the H&K 40.

I went scrapbooking at the Pink Pineapple's crop night a week ago. I was uber productive, finishing 7 pages and I only needed another 10 minutes to finish page 8. I'm working on Aurora's Kindergarten scrapbook. I did: 2 pages of Balboa Park, 2 pages of Lakeshore Learning store, 2 pages of Halloween and the 1 page of Christmas. I completed the other Christmas page as well as two pages on miniature golfing yesterday.

For the D&D update, my character Kell, and her faithful dog Addie, are off on a quest with the cleric, Wazoo, for Kord (the god of chaotic good). Our challenge is to defeat an undead shadow demon and some unknown monster currently inhabiting an abandonded temple of Kord in barbarian country.

My Top Five Favorite Teas:

Please keep in mind that green tea (or white tea) can be a bit of an acquired taste. If you're new to green teas, you may want to start with something fruity to ease your transition.

My Top Several Favorite Things to Watch on TV:

  • New Amsterdam
  • Stargate: Atlantis
  • Ellie Krieger's Eating Healthy (Food Network)
  • HGTV: Color Splash and/or Myles of Style (I'm a little disenchanted with them, but I'm still curious enough to watch... for a while longer.)

Books: (any links supplied to books will direct you to that particular book on Amazon.com)

Oh, I'm so excited and so bummed - I started reading the third Cassie Palmer book but now I can't find it! And it's good! Ah.

If you haven't subscribed to Laurell K. Hamilton's MySpace blog, and you like her books, you really ought to. It's got great insight in to the author with plenty of neat tidbits about upcoming books.

Theater Movies: We saw the Dr. Seuss inspired movie, Horton Hears a Who a few weeks ago. It was actually pretty darn decent. The REO Speedwagon tribute was a bit odd, but on the whole, the movie was nice.

I'm quite looking forward to seeing the Jackie Chan/Jet Li movie The Forbidden Kingdom which comes out April 18th.

Birthdays: April: 6th, Linda Culotta & Kim Peterson. 12th, Rondee Miller. 13th, Steve Dorsey. 22nd, Me! & Chase Peterson. 25th, Kathy Thuleen.
