A few things about Susan Shea & Family...

 Aurora: is in 4th grade now. She had a great summer trip to San Francisco and Crescent City this summer. She read about San Francisco's Chinatown in her American Girl books. She's looking forward to art, yoga & quilting classes in September.

Orion: is in 2nd grade and is still going strong in gymnastics. He's now on the team, competing in Level 4. His first competitive meets start in December.
Kirk: He's working at Ocotillo Wells State Park, east of Borrego Springs. He's a Superintendent 2. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with the family and playing a bit of D&D. If anyone knows of a Star Wars RPG going on, please email me because Kirk is interested in joining one!
Tien: Has a full time job!! She's quite excited. She starts in September.
Susan: Homeschooling just started back up again and I'm having to do a lot more prep work each day - or should I say night? I'm also enjoying some monthly Girls Night In gatherings, which have been really delightful. I am scrapbooking once a month with a nice group of gals over at a church in Carlsbad and once every 6 to 8 weeks there is a book club that I try to get to. So - I am not a hermit!
I'm still dealing with Polymorphous Light Eruptions... it's a skin sensitivity to the sun (UV rays). Can you think of a worse place to live in the U.S. when you have a sun allergy? I am hopeful though that as fall gets colder and the sun's UV lessens that I'll be able to enjoy the outdoors more.

I'm going to be reading Man on the Moon, available on Amazon kindle, for book club this next month. I haven't read too much new lately... just some Steve Perry books in the Matador series.
Theater Movies: I have not been to the theater in waaaay too long! I haven't even seen the last Harry Potter one, to give you an idea of how far removed I've been...
