Magyar szöveg alul!----------------The map below (at the bottom of this page) is based on the map in "A Guide to Birdwatching in Hungary" by Gerard Gorman. The map is designed to help you plan your birdwatching trip to Hungary. Click on the part of Hungary you will visit to see what birdwatching areas, and what birds are in that part of the country. However, this one page is not nearly as useful as Gerard's Book.
Gerard is an interesting fellow who was getting burned out on birdwatching, until he went to Hungary for a visit, and discovered its beautiful birds. He got so excited about Hungary's birds that he moved there, married a Hungarian woman* , and wrote a birdfinding guide!
It took a foreigner to write a book about birding in Hungary, because all of the Hungarian birders knew each other, and didn't think that anybody else would be interested (a classic case of "The birds here aren't interesting, I want to go somewhere else." syndrome)
The book was published by Corvina Books, Budapest 1051, Vorosmarty ter 1.
You should be able to find or order the book at any Audubon Society Bookstore in the U.S., or commercial book stores in North America and Europe. I live in Pasadena, California, so I bought my copy at the Los Angeles Audubon Society bookstore in West Hollywood, California. The Los Angeles Audubon Society bookstore has a large selection of books about birds and insects, and where to find them. They will ship anywhere in the world If you do not have a computer, they can mail you their catalogue.

Ennek a lapnak az alján van egy térkép, és minden megyére külön lehet klikkantani, ahol kiván madarakat nézni.
*I can't decide if Hungarian birds or women are more beautiful, but I'm biased.
