The VISION for AFRICAN OPTIMISM

As the Continent of

Africa develops toward becoming

a Federation of Interdependant African States,

we envision an organized effort in the United States,

working throughout the local, state and national levels,

building alliances and communities to re-establish relationships

with descendant Africans of the Diaspora and Native Africans.

Our Vision includes the elimination of negative fiction, myths and interludes

of African people and the establishment of sound knowledge and principles on the

basis of truth to derive mutual understanding. This is a necessary process

in order to reconnect and socially bond these groups into one.

Positive social bonding helps forge the foundation required to

establish sustainable economic, technological and cultural unions.

Inclusive in this process is the reversal of the existing Western

based political ideology of Afro-Pessimism. We contend that "optimism"

has more absolute utility than an ideology established on "pessimism."

Pessimism is a hopeless perspective that retains an implicit quality that

produces failure, supports it and sustains it. We have therefore, necessarily

created, embraced and adopted a cultural perspective constitutive for our

survival and have defined it as "AFRiCAN OPTiMiSM." We believe that

"AFRiCAN OPTiMiSM" is a more healthy, vital, vibrant and relevant cultural

ideological perspective that needs to be instituted for the Preservation of African People.

A cooperative Spirit based on AFRiCAN OPTiMiSM helps cultivate and usher-in a union that would produce direct benefits and profit to disenfranchised Africans in America as well as other Africans on and off the Continent. These rewards can be achieved from local and international market opportunities, that include information, technology and cultural exchange, as well as the exchange of goods and services. In this vision, sound principles and new sustainable standards of excellence would need to be re-established and maintained by participants and contributors. All local communities must benefit directly, and will advance spiritually, socially and economically from the newly formed relationships and the resource exchange opportunities. Our vision includes the necessity to establish new permanent centers of trade-- instituted for the purpose of retail and wholesale product distribution to local, national and world markets. The market centers will be emphasizing African-Centric ideas and products, thereby reflecting the Cultural Excellence of Africa and her children. The idea of Cultural Excellence is designed to be enriching and reflective of and to the local community residents.

A TRUE AFRICAN

IS

BORN AN AFRICAN + AFRICAN CENTERED + AFRICAN OPTIMISTIC
