JB's Triathlon Experiences!
During my Freshman year at the University of Arizona in 1997, I joined the UA's Triathlon Team, the TriCats! There I enjoyed racing for the University and learned how to enjoy my new Multisport life. At times it was difficult to put in the demand of Triathlon, but I managed!

The first major purchase that I made for Triathlon was a bike! I got a great deal on a Softride bike from my Coach! The picture of the bike on the left is similar to my bike, but the only difference is that my bike is black and it has aero-bars on the front!
I show my team pride by wearing one of our team tatoos. Yes, it's a permanent tatoo!! I love to represent my school by wearing my true school colors. Well...I don't want to give you all heart attacks, so I'll tell the truth - no, it's a temporary tatoo!
My very first Triathlon was the TinMan Triathlon in Tucson, Arizona. I was really jazzed to be racing in it, and I had a great supporter and fan, cheering for me throughout the race! That fan was Jodi, who also took this great shot of my back wheel, my water bottles and my butt! Thanks Jodi:-)
