This is the winners and losers of the '98 draft. You can argue with me all you like, but it is known, and needs to be known more...I am the draft guy, and this is my word! Use the color code to see how your team did.

Atlanta(McLeod, Sham Williams)...Williams will have to develop as a PG, but we could have gotten someone better than Roshown. C
Clippers(Olowokandi, Skinner)...they didn't get the guards they needed, now they have a loaded frontcourt. B
Vancouver(Bibby, Lopez, Henderson)...this was awesome. They traded someone who was about to bust, and now have a very good team. Henderson was a steal. A+
Denver(LaFrentz, Bowen, Fowlkes, Van Exel)...They stole Nick, good second round picks, could have traded the #3 and gotten more. A-
Toronto(Carter, Wheeler, Oakley)...Good draft, but what are they thinking with Willis and Oakley? It's not as if they are the "missing links". Who is their GM? And why is he still there? C
Golden State(Jamison)...still need backcourt help. Should have kept Vince. C
Dallas(Nowitzki, Nash, Sesay, Sundov, Buckner) Nash is good, Dirk should stay, and Sesay was a steal. A-
Sacramento(Williams, James) They pass on Pierce annd Hughes, James is a good project, but they are crazy to pass on Hughes, Paul, Koul, and Miller. D-
Philly(Hughes, Mohammed, Shaw) Good picking, Hughes is best, Nazr and Shaw will help the frontcourt. A
Milwaukee(Traylor, Alston) Everyone knows bout Traylor, Alston will take over for Terrell. A-
Boston(Pierce) Didn't have to do much. A
Detroit(Wells, Young) Wells was taken too high and doen't fill a need, Young will srprise everyone. C+
Orlando(Doleac, Clark, Harpring, Simon) Improved at every pos. and got lucky. A
Houston(Dickerson, Drew, Turckan, Mobely) Wasted three good picks on players they could've gotten in the 20s. D
Minnesota(Nesterovic) 7ppg in Europe? Yeah, he'll last in the NBA. D-
Charlotte(Davis, Betts) Betts is a risk, Davis is good but was taken too high. C-
San Antonio(Daniels, Dial) Daniels is good, Dial might start right away. B+
Indiana(Harrington) Great pick for #25. He will learn from the best w/ Mullin, Miller, and Bird. A
Lakers(Lue, Jacobson, Bailey, Patterson, Battie) Why pick 2 more SGs? Battie will get another chance, Patterson was a steal, Lue will bust IMO. B
Seattle(Stepania, Lewis) Lewis is great at #32, I just hope his ego wasn't busted. Stepania is like Kukco(allegedly). B
Chicago(Benjamin, Carr) You know what I think of these guys, Carr will start at SG, Benji at SF, bye MJ. A
Utah(Braggs) Good rebounder at #57 B
Miami(Brewer) Hello Nate Erdmann! C-
Knicks(De. Johnson, Camby) They give up a second rd project and a oldie for a potential star. Johnson is very good. A
Washington(White) Uhh...hmm...big home guy C
