The meat and water fast is a sure fire way to break a plateau. The ingredients are easy. . . meat, meat and more meat followed with water and lots of it. Nothing else is added to this fast.
The meat should be unprocessed, ie no spam, luncheon meat, bacon, ham etcetera. Unprocessed does not mean raw, however. Cook the meat by grilling, baking, broiling, frying, or whatever method is preferred. You can season the meat with a bit of salt and pepper, maybe some garlic or onion powder but not more than a teaspoon of each. The meat fast can last anywhere from 3 days to as long as you feel healthy. Some folks find that coming off the fast can be difficult since dairy and/or carb cravings can kick in. Be prepared with lots of lowcarb veggies, like broccoli, green beans and cauliflower. These can help immensely.
It is very important that you eat *at least* 1500 kcals in order to avoid starvation mode (your body perceives insufficient kcals as a sign of famine and will slow itself down in order to conserve fuel). Don't cut all the fat from your meat and yes you can cook your meat in oil and real butter in order to get enough kcals.
Your only beverage should be water, 64 oz plus 8 oz for every 25 pounds overweight per day. Other things contain ingredients that can stall weight loss. Additionally real water helps keep your liver and kidneys functioning efficiently, helping process fat and eliminating waste.
And finally if you feel "icky" on the fast go off of it. And check with your doctor before starting this or any other weight loss plan, of course.
