HISTORY
Pat Dugan, avid bowler, master mechanic, step-father. Pat had been dating long-time girlfriend Ms. Whitmore when he decided to marry her much to Ms. Whitmore's daughter's chagrin. Moving to Blue Valley, Nebraska was one of the reasons for her increased dislike for him.
When his stepdaughter decided to go through his old memorabilia, she discovered that Pat was once Stripesy, sidekick to the original Star Spangled Kid, Sylvester Pemberton. She also found Sylvester's cosmic converter belt and used it to become the new Star Spangled Kid.
Pat did not want Courtney facing the constant danger that he had experience during his many years as a super hero. Therefore, he created an eight-foot tall robotic suit that that he called S.T.R.I.P.E. With it, he took on the role of sidekick again trying to protect his stepdaughter and talk her out of being the super-heroine that she has chosen to be.
His constant efforts to persuade her in to early retirement have fallen on deaf ears and made her even more convinced to be the best Star Spangled Kid she can be. In fact, she tries to get him to quit as much as he tries to get her to stop being a super-heroine. He never has revealed the fact that he is S.T.R.I.P.E., but Courtney knew by Pat's condescending tone. As her revenge, Courtney refuses to call him anything but Stripesy!
POWERS AND WEAKNESSES
Powers/Skills: S.T.R.I.P.E. is equipped with lasers, flight, durability and many other defensive devices. Besides these essentials, the armour also contains numerous fun items such as a fridge and a satellite television.
Weaknesses/Limitations: His love and care for the audacious Courtney.
