~~~The Groove Merchant~~~
For the past seventeen years we have worshiped and adored the legendary trio-The Beastie Boys. Mike D (Mike Diamond) playing the drums, MCA (Adam Yauch) playing bass, and, of course, Adrock (Adam Horovitz) playing the guitar, all around the age of thirty, have mixed, rhymed, and rapped better than any "white boys" the music business has ever seen. We have seen their awesome, stylish looks and have read about the things ahead for them, what they plan on doing in the future, in 'zines such as, Vibe, Details, and Rolling Stone. They have performed on shows like, Aresenio Hall, Late Night with David Letterman, and SNL (Saturday Night Live) and have played two times in the Tibetan Freedom concert (Adam Yauch is a buddist).The Boys' style and uniqueness has not been touched by anyone else since 1981 where they released their first album titled "Polly Wog Stew" on Rat Cage Records. They released it in New York where all the Boys are from. After that they came out with "Licensed To Ill" in 1986, which went multi-platinum, then they came out with "Paul's Boutique" in 1989, "Check Your Head" in 1992, "Ill Communication" in 1994, and after that they followed with "Some Old Bullshit", "Aglio E Olio", "In Sounds from Way Out!", and then last but definitely not least, "Hello Nasty" in 1998. "Hello Nasty" came out with some awesome songs such as "Body Movin' ", "Electrify", "Disco Breakin", and their first hit off this album "Intergalactic".The whole album rocks. There is NOTHING like it. It has variety and a sound all it's own. The Beastie Boys are going to be here for a long time to come and If you have not heard "Hello Nasty" yet you should definitely listen to it and if you are not a Beastie fan-It's not too late.
