Genus Salvia. Latin root of "Salvia" is salveo, which means "to heal." The Whole plant is used in anti-cancer teas and also taken either crushed or powdered. Herbologists use this plant againt skin cancer, by applying the fresh leaves as a poultice to the affected area. Many people use the fresh leaves in a similar manner to remove warts.
