INTRODUCTION

Hi weaving friends,

During the summer of 1997, the weaving list had not talked too much about lace.

There were already some great exchanges going on (towels, napkins, skeins,
blankets, etc.) So, a lace exchange would be nice too, especially, since I
had never woven lace !!

Guess that several got hooked on lace too.

As the enthusiasm grew, it was time to see if those lace squares would look nice
on a web-site.  No, I had never done a web-site.  So, a little bit of reading was
necessary in January 1998.

My idea was to show, not only pictures, but also drafts of the weavings.

Rick & I had a camera, but no scanner !!  Just in time, York Photo Labs was
there to our rescue.  We took photos (mostly at 6 inches from the lace),
then sent the roll to be processed, & York sent the pics back via e-mail !!

Hope that you will appreciate the wonderful artistic talents demonstrated
by the weavers on these pages.
