We are a retired couple who are having a great time and want to share with you some of the things that make our lives so enjoyable.
Ted had a long career as an accounting teacher at our local community
college. He enjoyed his students and got a real feeling of satisfaction
from getting them started towards a rewarding profession. He retired in
June of 1995 in order to have more time to do some fun things and spend
more time with our grandchildren.
Betty's career was as a wife, mother and community volunteer. Now that
the kids are grown there is more time for us to pursue interests such as square dancing, genealogy, dollhouses, a book group, camping, and traveling.
We have three children, and we feel very blessed to have them as part of our family. Kristin is married and has two daughters. They live in Sugarland, Texas, where Greg works for Unocal and Kristin keeps busy with the kids, volunteering at their church, and having fun.
Peter has just recently gotten married, combining his family of two girls and a boy with Esther's family of one girl and one boy. That makes five kids ranging in age from 11 to 16 - a lively household to be sure. Peter is an environmental engineer, and Esther teaches first grade.
Karen lives in Roswell, New Mexico. She and her husband Jerry have two small farms where they raise alfalfa and have an assortment of horses, chickens, rabbits, goats, cats, and a nice dog. Karen works at the local Walmart and enjoys it.
Fullerton is a nice place to live. It is a college town with five colleges and universities, safe neighborhoods, a bustling economy, lots of churches, good schools, and a very pleasant climate.
We are located about 35 miles southeast of Los Angeles and about six miles from Disneyland. We are within easy driving distance of the beach, the desert and the mountains. Our biggest problem is that there are so many people living in this area now that our streets are clogged with traffic.
