Spanish & Portuguese Student Association

The Spanish & Portuguese Student Association currently represents 1200 undergraduate students currently enrolled in either a Spanish or Portuguese course @ St. George Campus, U of T. This year, with new people and a new perspective, the SPSA guarantees fun and excitement and maybe, just maybe, you will make some crazy friends and learn a thing or two!

Mission Statement

As Spanish and Portuguese cultures extend their warmth into people's hearts, so has the SPSA into student lives. Student participation, cultural awareness, social settings and academic focus are focal points for the SPSA. We welcome you to freely explore our foundations, our visions and most of all our goals in formulating a better future for all.

Mandate

The SPSA has made the effort to integrate the faculty, the department, government bodies, relevant business leaders and most of all the STUDENTS into one community. A community in which all can communicate with one another and facilitate a brighter tomorrow. 1998-1999 will prove to be very opportunous!

Upcoming Projects

BI-ELECTIONS FOR THE SPSA EXECUTIVE! Interested? On October 6th, 1998, we will be electing the following: Secretary, Treasurer, Staff Liaison and Social Convenor. Come to Wetmore Hall, New College (basement), room 77 at 3pm and join the SPSA! Or sign up to be a volunteer! The more the merrier!
KIDS!This year, the Toronto Catholic District School Board will be collaborating with the SPSA to bring to fruition a volunteer program to help young children the beautiful Spanish language. Sounds like fun? Keep in touch for more information..
