Pasta on hold.
Topic: In the Kitchen
To keep cooked pasta warm for an hour or so without over cooking it, place in a colander set above a pot of simmering water. Cover until needed.

Sliding... glass doors.
Topic: Around the house.
Does your sliding glass door stick when you open it? Rub the tracks with some Watkins Furniture Polish, then slide the door back and forth along the track. The polish will lubricate the track making it slide easily.

Quick and easy - sparkling tub, tile and shower.
Topic: Cleaning House.
Spray your shower stall or tub area with Watkins Tub and Tile cleaner, give the bathroom sink a spray too. Leave it sit for a few minutes while you get undressed to have a shower. Give everything a quick wipe with a damp cloth then shower as usual. While you are getting clean you'll be rinsing off the tub and tile cleaner.

Once a week should keep your tub, tile and/or shower stall sparkling clean. Removes mineral deposits and soap scum.

Sneaky left overs make an economical soup.
Topic: In the Kitchen
Whenever you have a spoonful of vegetables, pasta, rice and meat left over after a meal put it into a plastic freezer container or bag and freeze. Add to the container whenever you have more left overs. Soon you'll have a container full to make a great soup!

To make your sneaky left over soup add water, Watkins Chicken or Beef soup base and a sprinkling of Watkins soup and vegetable seasoning. Your economical soup will be healthy and taste great. Your family won't even realize it's left overs!

Note:
You can have several containers on the go, one for chicken another for beef if you like.

Slicing raw meat.
Topic: In the Kitchen
To make stir-fry easier put the raw meat in the freezer for half an hour first, once it's partly frozen it'll slice easier.

This works for other dishes that call for thin slices of raw meat as well.

Tape a sticky situation.
Topic: Around the house.
Place a toothpick under the end of a roll of packing tape or duct tape, it will be easy to spot the end and get it started the next time you need to use it!

Packing tape, especially the clear stuff is really hard to find the end again. If I don't have a toothpick handy I'll fold the end of the tape under (sticky sides together) so it's easy to find.

My mission!
Topic: Musings around my table.
My mission is to share hints and tips to make your life easier!

With today's fast paced lifestyles, woman (and men too) face more challenges than ever before. Juggling family, career and trying to keep your home in order. It can all be too much at times.

Hopefully the hints and tips that you'll (eventually) find here will help make life a whole lot easier for you.

Here's my first hint:

In a rush to make dinner?
Make meat loaf using Watkins Meat loaf Seasoning (recipe is on the jar) and bake in muffin cups. They'll bake in half the time, look and taste great!

If you have a favorite household tip to save time or money please share it with us! I'm especially looking for ways that a Watkins product has helped you, but all submissions will be considered.

Hope you have a wonderful day!
