Associate Marketing Tips for


Make a who do you know list.
Keep adding names to this list
Ask for referrals from everyone you talk to and add these names to your list.
Never let a catalog or any piece of literature leave your hands with out your name, contact information & ID# on it.


Use the products yourself - when you love and enjoy them your enthusiasm shows and you will be more able to explain the feature and benefits.
Pass out samples, follow up to see how they liked the sample!
Demo the products to people, let them smell, taste or try the product.
When someone takes a catalog make sure you follow up, most people will want to order but get too busy to call you back, forget, generally just don’t get around to it! (of coarse you have their name & contact info)
Pass out your business cards like candy, exchange cards with people or get their name and contact information from them, they may never get around to calling you, again follow up.
Ask people to pass along your cards to others and offer to do the same for them.


When setting up at a public display:
Always, Always, Always have a draw box!
Use this to collect prospective customers and business leads names and contact information.
Make a data base/file card system with these names and follow up on their interest.
Again Always follow up on their interest, people may intend to call you but they don’t always get around to it.
Prizes don’t have to be large, gift certificates work well also.
Send thank you notes to everyone who visited your display & entered the draw, enclose a monthly highlights or appropriate info they requested.
