The murders began in 1968. The killer shot up a couple at a lovers' lane. The woman was killed and the man was seriously wounded. Within six months the killer had shot another couple. The killer began sending taunting letters to the police.

Every letter was signed with an astrological symbol. The symbol was that of the Zodiac.....

Later the Zodiac, wearing a personalized mask bearing his symbol, tied up a young couple. The woman and the man were then stabbed numerous times. Again the man survived but the woman died.

Soon after a cab driver was shot in his cab by the Zodiac. Part of the cab driver's shirt was stolen by the killer. Pieces of the shirt were sent to the press and police along with letters, in order to prove the authenticity of the letters.

The Zodiac claimed to have killed many people, only five killings can be directly linked to him though. He has never been caught.
