Rod Pacheco Takes the Reins as Assembly Republican
Leader
Assembly Republican Leader Rod Pacheco (Riverside AD 64),
the first Hispanic Republican leader in California's lower house has taken the
reins of GOP power. The combined leadership team of Assembly Members Keith
Olberg (Victorville AD-34), Marilyn Brewer (Irvine AD-70), and Jim Battin
(Palm Desert AD 80) will be assisting Leader Pacheco in what San Diego
Assemblyman Steve Baldwin called a well balanced GOP team.
Leader Pacheco, is no stranger to San Diego and came here last year to
speak at one of the monthly meetings of the San Diego County Republican Party.
The new Republican leader is a hard core, tough on crime Republican who as
a Riverside District Attorney prosecuted criminals under the Death Penalty.
