HEALING IS ANOTHER NAME FOR GROWTH

Since God IS everything that IS and since you ARE, you are a part of God. As a part of God you reflect God’s Divine Nature. Everything that God IS, is reflected in you and everything that IS in you, IS a part of God. In fact, without you, God could not be God because God would not contain everything that IS. So, whether or not you feel like it, you are a Divine child of Heavenly Parentage, a child of God in the process of awakening.

While this "Everything that IS" is one united whole, it is also clear that God manifests in complementary or contrasting dualities. For example, without the idea of dark, the idea of light makes no sense. Spirit/form, masculine/feminine, creator/creation, are all examples of how God manifests in duality. Duality is God’s mirror. In fact, the only thing God needs is a mirror. That is the purpose of God’s life.

The purpose of your life is to experience God’s mirror and obtain wisdom so that you can unfold your Divine capacity into God consciousness. That is how God and you grow.

Healing is just another name for God’s growth. It doesn’t mean that there is something "wrong" with you. In fact, as a Divine being you are perfect and worthy. It is an irrefutable condition of your existence. So is healing/growth.

As a part of God you create your life to be a perfect mirror. You experience disempowerment in order to have wisdom about the value of your power. You experience pain in order to have wisdom about the value of joy. You experience death in order to have wisdom about the value of life. In that sense, your life is a Divine school, perfectly designed to awaken you to your Divine capacity.

This awakening to God Consciousness is called enlightenment or self-realization. Whatever it is called, it requires growth in perspective.

To make this growth less painful it works to be flexible and not positional. When we become stuck in positions about beliefs that are not real, pain is the result. Pain is a gift because it delivers the blessing of humility.

Humility is the ability to be flexible in perspective. Growth in perspective is where healing/growth happens. As a part of God awakening, you will eventually realize that you have the innate ability to always recognize the highest, perspective.

While it is true that you can always recognize the highest perspective, it is not true that you always want to. Waking up causes your phony beliefs to be exposed for what they are, and that’s challenging. Staying asleep or addicted to your positions feels more familiar.

Nevertheless, you will wake up sooner or later. It is your Divine destiny. The only choice you really have is how much darkness, how much pain, and how much disempowerment you want to pay to keep your beliefs. The choice is totally yours, and totally perfect for you.

When you do decide to take the path of Light, you will find that it helps to have directions to guide you on your journey into self-realization. The following Eight Steps to Healing can be very helpful once you understand and master them.

1st Step:  NOTICE YOUR ENERGY

Because you are a Divine being, who you are is Light, Love, Peace and Joy. When you walk in the Light, your spiritual, physical, emotional and mental selves are in balance. Life energy flows, and you feel ecstasy. You are in the Garden.

To the extent you buy into beliefs that are not real you step away from the Light and lose your balance. When you are out of balance mana (life energy) does not flow and your life feels heavy and painful. You are not in the Garden.

The stronger your positions about your beliefs, the more painful your life will be. Becoming aware of your pain is the first step to healing. It helps to cultivate the habit of noticing when you are not in the Garden before it gets even more painful.

2nd Step:  PRAY

True prayer reflects a humble desire for vision and implies a willingness to be flexible in perspective. True prayer affirms your Divine nature’s ability to recognize the highest perspective. Looking at life from the highest perspective opens the door to Divine Light. In the Light, the Akua, or life-giving spirits, can enter your life.

Pleading with God for something you want is not prayer because it is an affirmation of the lie that who you are is weak and needy. You are not weak and needy because you are Divine. The only thing a Divine being needs is a mirror. Pray instead to see Light in the mirror of your Divinity.

Once you have noticed you are not in the Garden, pray to your Heavenly Parents for vision. When you pray make sure you are humble and willing to be flexible in perspective so you can receive higher vision. Humble prayer is the second step to healing.

3rd Step:  TAKE RESPONSIBILITY

The person with the consequences is the person with the responsibility and the person with the responsibility is the person with the authority. If your life is not working the way you want it to it is your problem. No matter how it feels, whatever is bothering you is your stuff. Don't fall into the trap of blaming your energy on others. Projecting blame won't work to solve your problem. Remember that no one can make you feel, think or be anything without your permission.

If it is your problem, you created it and  you can solve it.Until this becomes your attitude, you may be sure you will continue to have your problem.

When you have had enough pain you will heal. The only choice you have is how long you want to wait to take responsibility for your healing. Taking responsibility is the third step to healing.

4th Step:  IDENTIFY THE ENERGY

Notice how the energy feels. Of course it will make you feel separate and heavy. But also notice whether the pain is expressing as fear, anger, depression, frustration, confusion, grief or some other emotion. Here are some keys that can help.

Fear happens when one lives in the future or the past. To heal it, live completely in the now.

Anger comes from an addiction to mind models that create a victim mentality. To heal it, let go of your mind models, see the perfection in your lesson and grow through the learning opportunity that it presents.

Depression comes from self-judgment and denial. To heal it, forgive yourself and all others. Forgiveness means to look at the situation from the higher perspective that is the more real perspective.

Frustration and confusion come from lack of vision. To heal them, communicate with the Divine and get in touch with what you can know for sure now.

Grief is the result of emotional attachment. To heal it, let go, transcend, give thanks, and flow. Connection is not possible where there is attachment.

Realize that pain is a sign that a gift is at hand. The more pain, the more valuable the gift. Find the lesson in the pain and you will realize that the pain was a cheap price to pay for the gift. The gift is an awakening to the experience of more of who you are.

5th Step:  IDENTIFY THE BELIEF THAT IS NOT REAL

The flow of Mana (life energy) is blocked when you become stuck in a belief that is not real. Getting stuck happens when you support your beliefs with reasons. Reasons form the dark box of your unconsciousness in which you are stuck or trapped. The nature of reality is to write clear instructions on how to get out of your box on the outside of your box.

Remember your commitment to be humble? Now is the time to keep that commitment. Let go of your positions about your beliefs and be willing to be flexible in perspective.

To get out of your box, find a clear mirror and pay attention to the instructions. The mirror is anything or anyone who mirrors the instructions without unworthiness issues (bad or wrong stuff) attached. If the mirror projects any energy of unworthiness, you can ignore that part of the mirror.

6th Step:  IDENTIFY WHAT IS REAL

Once you have found the perspective that is limiting, you can use it to find the perspective that is liberating and empowering. There is always such a perspective. To find it, let go of your reasons for holding onto your old perspective. That is the definition of humility.

Disconnect from your beliefs about reality. Beliefs are necessary only for that which is not real. That which is real is available at the level of recognition. Reality is also pono, which means that it works to empower the person, not the belief. Concentrate on what you know to be real now.

Don't obsess on the future, the past, or your mind models of how things should, could, or ought to be. Disconnect from all the good/bad, right/wrong, fair/unfair and loyal/unloyal stuff that is based on the belief that Divinity can be unworthy and that there can exist something that is not a part of God. See the problem as a gift from a loving Universe designed to wake you up to the perfection of Reality. Play the game called "I know Reality is in here somewhere".

7th Step:  SUBSTITUTE PATTERNS

Once you discover Reality, you will realize that you have held a lot of patterns (in thinking, feeling, and doing) that supported your beliefs. To keep from regressing back to your beliefs, change these patterns.

There are two kinds of patterns. There are malu and akua. Malu are unconscious, habitual patterns that work to destroy your sense of aliveness. They are obsessive and compulsive and do not want to die. Jealousy and pride are examples of malu.

Akua are supportive patterns that unlock your sense of aliveness. They channel life energy in a place of harmony and result in the Divine experience of Light, Love, Peace and Joy. Humility is an example of akua.

Realize the malu are not you. The only life they can have is the life you give them. They can only live when they convince you that you are them. You are not them. Who you are is much bigger than them. In the Light of Consciousness, take your power back from the malu and replace them with akua.

Most of all make sure your new patterns are reinforced by what you do, not just by what you say. In fact, integrity is doing what you know, in spite of how you feel about it or all the reasons you can think up not to do it. Integrity and self-discipline unlock a sense of self worth.

8th Step:  MAKE ROOM FOR PRACTICE

Consciousness is a skill that must be cultivated through study and practice. With enough practice, what seems difficult and uncomfortable soon becomes effortless.

Don’t beat up yourself or others when you discover you have been unconsciousness. You chose to go to sleep so you can value being awake. Beating yourself or others up because of unconsciousness is not loving. You can't love others more than you love yourself, and you can't love yourself more than you love others.

If you fall back into old patterns it doesn't mean you are bad, weak, or wrong. It only means you need more practice, more vision, or both. Don't waste your time complaining. Use it to find Divine vision and practice… practice… practice.
